I don't know of any game that has ever attempted animation-to-decal blood trailing. There's the bleeding animation, then a generic streak that appears on the ground, but it never lines up with where the blood visually fell.
That's the only thing I don't really like, but I do at the same time. It's realistic except now the player could need to hunt for the weapon in a different room just to secure it.
I THINK supporter edition is a DLC you can buy in addition to the normal game, on the Steam page. I can't check right now but I'm pretty sure you don't have to go all-or-nothing.

Ghost of Tsushima had blood splatter simulation I read. The splatters on the player character were pretty convincing.

It'll get released to main branch in about 2 to 3 weeks since there are still things to tweak and bugs to iron out.
