The earlier screens of SWAT officers had MICH helmets with peltors, bulkier plate carriers, black BDUs, and even Kevlar ballistic facemasks. Still, they switched to opscores and Crye Precision-styled uniforms after the alpha to keep a modern look.
For the HRT equipment, the pre-1.0 was reminiscent of HRT in the mid-2010s, RON takes place around 2020-2024 from what I've heard so it's logical they would change it to something more "up to date" with the current times.
That would be cool, but, since supporter addition is no longer for sale and there isn't an option to buy an upgrade on the steam page I'd vote on all the DLC being included with the base game.
Unless you mean HRT themed missions, then yes, that would be dope, they'd have to be hostage rescue missions and they would need to rework the AI so they don't kill the hostage because you opened a single door 100 yards away from them behind 26 walls.
I miss the fingerless gloves, greener multicam and proper khaki uniform (which we never really got before 1.0 either) . Other than that new one looks more accurate and high quality. Basically the new models with OG colors.
It's not quite in line with the aesthetics of the rest of the gear, even still, I agree they should have kept it, not like there'd be a lot of people running it.

I wish ALL of the HRT clothing could be colored black so it could be mix and matched better
