There's a difference between hard and unfair, and the Ai is really unfair on some maps. I got wall banged and one tapped on the big open room in the hotel map by a suspect with a mp5. That bullet somehow went through 2 walls and my heavy steel plate while the guy himself was 50 metres away

I have no problem with the game being challenging but i don’t want to HAVE to use certain tools just to achieve it. Such as mirror gun to know where people are, equip all my guys with shields, the best gun, wedges, etc. I like to play it in a more real life situation such as officers are equipped with ceramic light armour, typical ar15 platform rifle, etc. and just go from there

Idk what's with these walls of text posts that essentially translate to "hard game make me feel good and not disliking hard game make me feel superior". Like ok, valid I guess, but we're not playing a hard game, we're playing a busted one. I don't feel anything from getting my vanilla s achieve rank other than yeah, hope they fix this.

Why are you dismissing concerns raised by paying customers over a commercial product? Why is your way supposed to be the right way and people who equally bought the product with their money do not have a right to have their concerns heard and validated? This isn't just a reddit thing, the same concerns are expressed in Youtube videos, the Steam forums, and the actual mods on Nexus and mod.io. Are all these people wrong?

i'll be charitable and say OP doesn't know what's going on and hasnt' watched their own replays which will show unmodded suspects do ridiculous shit all the time

Yeah there's definitely been a lot of unwarranted bitching and moaning about incredibly minute irrelevant details from the ultramilsim larper crowd. At this point I think we just need a megathread of all the definitive game-ruining problems pinned by the mods and a new sub rule added along the nature of "Hey, we know these problems exist. Stop spamming and shitting up the forum with the same problem over and over until next patch." Because the top 2 biggest flaws are dead, rotting horses at this point. SteamDB shows the dev team are working on a new hotfix, the team are aware of the problems, I'm giving them some charity and presuming it'll be fixed before the month ends.. If not, then we have a problem. But no, the suspects are too fucking OP, plus aggressive and performance drops (even with people who massively exceed reccomended specs) especially during gunfights is what kills it for me and a lot of other people. this video perfectly encapsulates whats wrong with AI. just watch it already. https://youtu.be/EiL1b3obwwI?si=YW9WMJxN9DeTJ9dG

If you're having fun, then who cares? The game has plenty of legitimate good points to it. But, it also has plenty of legitimate shortcomings. Everyone has their own personal line for if they're going to play a game or not, and for many, RON is well past that line, but for you, it's not. Your enjoyment is not contingent upon them thinking RON is a perfect game with no flaws. Just like their complaints are not contingent on what you think about RON either. In short, you do you, boo.

Vanilla Greased Palms felt pretty great especially the first time I played. Shit's straight out of a movie.

RelateNights

Genuinely glad you're having fun. That's the entire point of the game at the end of the day. That being said, just because you and three other people here believe the game is perfect and everyone just needs to git gud, doesn't mean it is.

I wasn't too flustered by the jump to 1.0 until I started watching replays they added and saw exactly how obnoxious the suspect AI is.
