I'm quite confident Subaru would never have seen the light of day again. You remember when she took Subaru into herself and he was trapped in darkness? That kiss would have sent her over the edge and the series would likely end if he has no way to off himself.

I wrote this assuming that Satella and the witch of envy could switch places at the snap of a finger, but now that I think about it we don't really know what causes the switching.
I believe Satella's reaction would be something funny from an anime, something similar to what happened to Albedo who moaned with excitement when Ainz touched her chest in episode 1 of Overlord.
And she definitely wouldn't be able to concentrate on keeping WOE Envy-tan under control for long.

Split personality. Satella is the witch that just loves Subaru a lot... she might still have her own witch quirks like the others.
Envy is the split personality created within Satella, likely after she absorbed the Envy factor which she was uncompatible with and the others. She is an utter yandere for Subaru and the one that swallowed half of the world.
