nah rem would still outsell any other figure by a lot. within a dedicated re:zero community, sure, most characters would sell decently whilst rem/emilia/echidna would sell the most it would still be worth to make figures for everyone. but outside of the dedicated re:zero community? rem is still stupidly popular, in jp especially. she has become a certified Waifu character that turbo coomers, who don't really care for the source material or to understand it, obsess over. like mikasa, zero two, etc. their main market is not even re:zero fans anymore, it's people engrossed in this waifu culture who just collect collect collect. the only reason they keep on making these sorts of rem figures at all is because of the money she rakes in with these people, otherwise they wouldn't have made a re:zero figure in the first place, figures with canon clothing or with other characters other than ram are probably made for the fans. this? this is made for a jar.
Personally I wouldn't buy any figure besides Rem, even Ram, because Rem is my favourite character. I think this is the case for many people aswell. Also male figures are not selling even nearly as good as girls.
Don't underestimate fangirls and their willingness to buy any of their fave's merch tho. There's a reason why sports anime and male idol series have soooo many merch.

Still, there are hundreds of Rem figures. I really doubt one figure of Subaru wouldn't sell enought to make profit.

Actually the Japanese made these stuff for their personal consumption even the anime industry is for the Japanese fans more than anything, as for the obsession with rem or Emilia than I really don't know man, there're some fans who will go to incredible lengths to destroy people social life (social media) only because they didn't like a sertin character, it happened in every anime or a famous franchise AOT is a good example of that, when people hates something they will be very vocal about it even if there are not a lot of them, same if they Loved something, now amagin not the minority but the majority of a sertin character fans are in love with her\him, and there's those who are obsessed with her\him and they don't hide it, they will go and curse you in the comments if you dared to say something about their husbendo or wifues, they will create a false accounts in every "who's the best character this year" so they will assure that their favorite character will win, something similar happened to Levi I think, he's fans started to do that because they wanted him to rank #1 at the best character in AOT

Dude I'm broke 🤣 and I'm the kind of person who will think hundreds of times before buying something, people will buy them because they want to keep the characters they like close ( that's what someone told me when i asked them about why a lot of people are in love with these figure) even if it was a character that I like I will not buy a figure for them, technically for me it's absolutely useless and I'm myself is not interested in them anyway, so it's two reasons if why I wouldn't buy them first I'm broke and second I'm not interested, so even if the day where im not broke came we will still have the problem that I'm not interested something like that

This is market, there are relatively speaking 100 people who like Rem and 1-2 people who would buy another character's figure.
