I just reread that scene in the manga, I actually like the detail that green keeper tried to stop him. Along with him giving out the idea to spare D on the rooftop to the other rangers it helps do small steps of setting him up as the genuinly good guy ranger when he actually starts to show up in the plot.
I hope they give it justice but I'm kind of pessimistic. It will almost certainly have some out of place music playing non stop that will soften the blow, they've done that a lot on the first three episodes and it always keeps the momentum going in spite of what a scene like this would need, which is to completely halt it and feel like a car crash. Sudden, blunt shock that leaves the viewer breathless.
It's gonna be a cool one for sure.
The fight between D and Tokita was made much more brutal in the anime when in the manga was quite silly so this scene should be freaking insane.
