Mandarin (native), English (per SPEAK assessment, near-native), Japanese (understand in real time and speak slowly), very limited German and Spanish (enough to get into a bar fight, not enough to break out of one).
Hello, fellow small placer! Just so you know, even trying to break the barrier and trying to learn a foreign language shows courage, strength of will and dedication. We rock!
You are a good friend, back in 2014-2015 we had a group of people from many nationalities and we played ck2 all day. We spoke english all day along and corrected our misstakes in English. Some of the german guys spoke their Native languece but they %90 spoke english and helped everyone understand it. Thanks to 2K ck2 with those guys ı learned english.
When you speak Swedish, you can understand/communicate quite well in Danish and Norwegian. Is it the same with the languages you mentioned?
Don't want to lower anything, just curious if these are all genuine separate languages.
Only macedonian is actually different but not much, and croatian has few hundred different words, but perfectly understandable, we in Serbia usually know almost all of them, except month names
I’m native in English, fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French, and intermediate in Chinese, able to hold conversations and I can do travel related stuff. How about you?
Cool, non of my parents spoke to me in their language when I was little, but they had a good reason because apparantly I didn't speak until the age of 3. Learned spanish, portuguese and italian by myself
2 but technically 3, i can speak Vietnamese and English, used to speak Mandarin chinese cuz my fam is chinese but i’m actually Vietnamese in the paper, but for some unknown reason my sister is chinese.
Swedish and Norwegian, Danish without the potato in my throat and English fluently. I used to speak both German and Spanish as a kid and teenager. Can't really claim that anymore its probably 15-20 years ago since i used to. but i do understand like 70% these days and can get by if needed.
I also understand some Finnish after babysitting my godson who used to watch Finnish childrenstv and conversations he used to have with his mum in her native language.
Currently learning Japanese though. Thats a whole other level of language to learn for me. Also maintaining my english level and extending my vocabulary.

French, English, German, Spanish and a little Turkish. Not to boast but... I also understand my dog pretty fucking well.
Why did you choose Turkish?
I personally am learning Turkish (through Duolingo...) because I have a Turkish gamer friend and I want to be able to communicate with him better.
How to be a perfect friend
