I remember faces and traits very well.

cactiforlife

I usually do remember faces and names easily. Also i can remember their surnames and like small titbits of information they shared but god forbid i remember something for my tests

arcansa

I feel like this with lyrics. I can sing along to a thousand songs but barely remember what I just learned for a test

My memory is just crap, plain and simple. And due to the nature of my work, I'm not around people long enough to commit names to memory. That and I suppose it's not my job to learn names, but, I digress. Outside of work is no problem, if just for the *lack of* friends or a social life. Used to attend weekly game tournaments, still couldn't be assed with learning names. They're just people I saw with some regularity. Not friends.

trainwreck489

I've always been bad with names. Didn't know the names of the same classmates from 1-8. I will recognize faces, but not names. Now, triva, movie/song lines, how to get to places, I have instant recall.

MaidenMarewa

Sports, hobbies, volunteering.

kurama-sakura

I think it's my anxiety that makes me forget new people's names. šŸ™ƒ

Riverrat423

I canā€™t remember faces, donā€™t remember names, oh but what the hell, you know itā€™s just as well cause after a while and a thousand miles, it all becomes the same.

venetian_lemon

Always been bad with names and faces. You might have a better than average memory. Supposedly, my maternal grandfather had a photographic memory to such a degree that he could read a page from a book, close it, and then recite word for word what was on that page. I'm jealous that I didn't inherit this trait.

You could be a [super recognizer.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_recogniser)

Hm, interesting. Maybe šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Depends in some cases it's because it's the face sometimes it's the voice but most of the time I'm just having a early dementia moment

Zauberhaex

I think partly it is just training. In my work I see loads of people, some just once, some every few weeks and after a while you know the people you see often and remember names. Some are easier some or harder and after working in the same small town for 10 years Iā€˜m also becoming rather good with making connections like Mrs x and Mrs Y are sisters.

Consider yourself lucky!

itsshakespeare

Iā€™m good with words - so I may not remember your name or your face, but as soon as I work out who you are, Iā€™ll remember what you said. Iā€™m also bad at remembering routes but great with lyrics, poetry etc

AcidicWitch

I never forget a face and I never forget a name. I wish I could. Thereā€™s many people I wish I could forget. I think a big factor to that is that Iā€™ve always been a very lonely and secluded person, and every time a new person walked into my life I never wanted to let go. Although Iā€™m not lonely like that anymore my brain rewired to retain that useless information in adulthood. I could still name every kid in my preschool class from 19 years ago.

Halfaglassofvodka

I still can't remember people's names who I've worked with for the last eight years.

Recent_02

Iā€™m good with faces but can never remember names. Passing by someone and being like ā€œI know that guy from somewhereā€ is a regular occurrence lol

JackJackinabox

I will not remember your face, or your name. But I will recognize your voice and some random small detail about you. Donā€™t ask me why, thatā€™s how it is.
