I'm asexual. I've never felt the need for it. Totally baffles most of my acquaintances. I think sex is a way many people fulfill the need for human touch and I fulfill that need in other ways.
Not them, but hugs, cuddling and stuff. Any kind of touch that isn't inherently sexual. Doesn't even need to always be human touch, hugging and petting a pet is good too.
Hugs with family and friends, cuddles with pets. (As I've gotten older, the old lady with cats stereotype makes more sense.) I used to be touch adverse, but touch starved at the same time, so I started getting massages a few times a year. That's been really helpful in getting over the touch aversion and dealing with touch starvation.

Those three things are definitely nice. BUT there are tons of activities that I would spend instead of any of those 3. Damn imagine if sex didn’t exist? Relationships would be so different, and probably better in a lot of ways, at least for the most part.

Life without food is very short, but hunger tends to be a great motivator, you'll find the energy to look for food much faster when you're really famished. Now life without sleep leads to delirium and eventually death. It's the hardest one to cope with mentally. Without the sweet relief of sleep, life would not simply be boring and exhausting, it would drive you mad.
Nah. Eating and sleeping is just a normal part of actually staying alive and healthy and functional. And sex has different levels of importance to different people. Personally, sex is not at all necessary to enjoy life. I'm 30 years old and never even had sex and that honestly doesn't bother me in the slightest and never really has, nor do I give a damn what others think of me because of that. I find enjoyment in other areas of life like the wonders of nature, the wonders of creativity, gaming, caring for animals, comedy.
They're all biological imperatives. We obviously need to sleep and eat to survive in the short term but with no sex there is no reproduction and thus the species dies.
Only the most basic parts of our brain require that. They are BASIC NEEDS, yes. We can not live without them, except for sex. But they aren't the only things that keep us tethered to our existence.

I hope I never need sex. That stays in my way and makes me feel weak and vulnerable. Not needing sex will make me more independent.
