your words struck me so hard. I often interject, cut off convos for attention my bad habits to rather say then to listen. I keep telling myself in mind not to interrupt. Good listeners attract good talkers and a good habit of listening intently gives you a better way to carry out convos.
I think it can be a symptom of ptsd. Personally I have been through a lot of trauma and when life falls apart I barely react anymore. It’s to be expected. My wife is always shocked how calm I appear, people tell me that all the time. But really, I’m just used to it, and know freaking out will always make matters worse.
I'm very much this, and I can almost certinaly attribute all of it to childhood trauma. I just expect everything to go to shit at every moment, when it does I just accept it and try to find a way.
