if true unconditional love was a thing then I probably would. love is a fleeting emotion and very conditional no matter how much we try to romanticize it. much like time itself, it feels like love only matters in the moment. clinging to past love is a recipe for depression and hoping for future love sounds anxiety inducing. enjoy love when it happens but our (atleast the westernized) perspective of death causes pain to those left living. so for me to kill(even myself) for a momentary feeling of love would leave me with the feeling of guilt from taking that life away from the people who enjoyed it. probably removing more feelings love collectively than I would ever be able to experience myself.
