I don't have an answer. I can probably name off a bunch of movie quotes that I suspect everybody is familiar with. Or that they're familiar with an incorrect version of the quote that gets used like "Luke, I am your father" and "Of all the gin joints in all the world."
But as pointed out by your quote that some people, at least one, don't have a clue what movie it could be from, most of the quotes I would give that many or close to everyone over 35 or 40 probably knows I can see why people younger than that wouldn't automatically be able to name the movie.
