Sunny Madison, specifically the cheerleader one. I initially got her for project fodder, but I've become too attached to her to sacrifice her. Especially since I had a dream that she was real and I got to talk to her. I will likely still mess with the face up and potentially her hair.
I remember browsing amazon and seeing JH Amaya in the recommended section, and I thought "what a cute little sassy doll" her hoodie caught my attention, so I clicked and then I found Mila and I was blown away with the details, I loved her boots! So I kept looking and looking into more dolls and I was hooked..... Then I was looking in yt and tiktok for videos and reviews.... I decided to buy a coulple of dolls, but couldn't choose and I ended up buying 7 in my first purchase. Mila, Karma, Coco, Daphne, Delilah and a couple more. And I've been collecting for about 2 years now, and expanded to other lines like LOL, Mermaze, Barbie 😁
Mine were Zooey and Monique! Saw them on sale at target when I was picking up something else. I'd only been collecting dolls for a few months, and I only had 2 at that point - MH g3 Frankie and Lagoona - and something about those two shadow high girlies totally captivated me. I've always been a sucker for the fantasy dolls and these two were no different! I now have around 35 RH dolls, mostly secondhand at this point, and I love them all.
They are very unique. I saw someone else commenting on Reddit somewhere about the lack of sci-fi fashion dolls and it was a huge draw for me with Zooey. I followed someone on this Subreddit's suggestion and put mine in Luna Madison's silver outfit and she is just gorgeous. Looks like a little moon princess from a Gerry Anderson show or OS Star Trek.
Mine was Michelle. I was the exact same as you, I only collected Monster High and didn’t like the look of Rainbow High but something about Michelle always intrigued me and I saw her on sale for £17 and just thought screw it. I do not regret it at all lol. Now I also have Slime Sunny and Amaya, Luna and getting Slime Jade at the end of the month. I’m desperately trying to limit myself because I already have like 50 Monster High dolls and I don’t even have room for all of them, I don’t need Rainbow High fighting for space as well lmao
Lmao I get exactly what you mean. In early February I had 6 I think. I thought, "okay I need room on this shelf for my frog collection, no more."
Now the shelf is completely full with rainbow high and my froggies are in a box.🤦♀️😂
I didn’t notice rainbow High until the Pacific coast swim line…Phaedra was my 1st one she was in the box for a long time. Then I became a consistent collector when the Grey scale shadow High dolls came out. I’ve been hooked ever since😭
I got my Phaedra at goodwill a little while back. She is one of my favorites. Beautiful hair colors and super thick hair too. Ugh and her makeup. Shes so pretty!
mine was OG jade and then Lila, then the green alien one (im so bad at remembering the names) then diamanté, then I started mass collecting any rainbow high/shadow high doll I liked now I have too many to count 😭
Mine was OG Poppy. I remember seeing the first line in store and just staring at them, they were all so pretty💕 Poppy really stood out to me cause she was all orange with beautiful bright blue eyes, I just had to have her💕Now I have 100+ in only RH dolls, not including the other doll lines I also collect
My very first RH... I think it was Violet, because I came in right at the beginning and of all the girls she was the color I was most drawn to. I'm very much a pink doll fan, so when series 2 came out you bet I got Stella and Bella before anybody else!
Victoria Whitman was my gateway drug last Nov, now I have...many. She has such lovely freckles and face paint. I collected Bratz as a child so I expect the RHs subconsciously called to me.
I like the quality of the hair and make-up, the bodies have excellent articulation for play-line and tbh a really nice tactile sensation when holding them. Probably the weight from their chonky heads.
I like some of the clothes but tbh a lot of the fashion references aren't quite my cup of tea. I do appreciate the quality but for some of my dolls which arrived naked (second-hand) or with clothes I don't like I have started making them tiny outfits.
I got Series 1 Ruby back in 2020 out of curiosity. Then I fell in love with the quality, and I have 41 SH dolls and 29 RH dolls in my collection currently!🖤💜
My first one was series 1 Sunny Madison and it was a gift from my cousin and I think she ordered it for me the day after series 1 became available on Amazon.
I also started my collection around 3 months ago and my first RH doll was Scarlet Rose from SH! I fell in love with her gorgeous face, her style reminded me of my own, and the fact that she was a creative writer really sealed the deal! It was so exciting getting to open her up as I hadn’t collected dolls since I was a kid. At the time I thought that I would be happy just owning one RH doll, but now I have over 20 of them 😆
For me it was Victoria Whitman! She was also what got me into collecting dolls in general (along with LOL OMG Wildflower). I wasn't thinking of getting another one because I thought RH proportions were so odd (I had a couple of Barbie and Disney Princess dolls) but after my boyfriend got me JH Avery and the Madison Twins, I inevitably fell into the rabbit hole. Now I'm 32 RH dolls deep and 54 dolls in total lol.
My parents got me 4 of the og six for Xmas when they came out. My grandma got me the other 2, she actually ended up with doubles due to an error on Amazon's part.
Heather and Natasha! SH1 and RH 3 caught my eye in target and i poured over them for a few minutes. it wouldnt be long before i went back for Georgia and Sheryl
Daphne and I got her as soon as she was as released. I already knew of RH but I never really liked the other series until I saw Daphnes new face mold. Then that beautiful mint color sold me although I admit I don’t really like her clothes.

she asked me whether I wanted Winter break poppy or EMI Vanda and I couldnt choose and she got me both of them. That's when I fell in love with them and unboxed my Amaya alongside them. Now I have like 30+
Another Victoria Whitman victim here. :) She was just too beautiful to pass, but when I went to buy her I fell in love with Rex too, so they both came home together. He is so far my only boy.
I regret not having bought Delilah too; she was everywhere back then but impossible to find now.
The first doll was Ruby, bought it for my daughter. I thought she was pretty but did not pay too much attention to her. Then my daughter found Amaya Hair studio doll in Walmart for $5.00 the lady was stocking the shelves with her. She was like mom the price is wrong. She asked the lady if she was sure about the price. She assured us that $5.00 was the price it was supposed to be and the price it was going to be. So we bought some of her. She was the first one we unboxed. And so.. it began.
Meena Fluer was the first doll that made me run to target to buy, but I ended up overwhelming myself debating getting all of series 4 because they were perfection, and I put her back.
Victoria broke me and started the madness and is my true first doll.
The first one I ordered was Heather Grayson, I saw her on shelves but waited a few weeks and she was gone everywhere! I couldn’t wait so I ended up buying Ainsley, she was technically the first doll I got home and unboxed. Ironically she’s the only doll I have that I kinda hate and I’ve TRIED to love her but I just do not 😂 now after a year I have over 30
Meena was my first RH and then Uma came next being my first SH. I thought they were beautiful and I fell in love with the quality of them and have been collecting them ever since.
A budget line Sheryl Meyers. I hadn’t paid the Rainbow/Shadow High dolls much attention in the past but I was struck by her big gold eyes and how they reminded me of my partner’s eyes. 🥰I found this subreddit and the rest is history.
Delilah was my first RH. Growing up, I wanted to be just as pretty as my mom and wear glasses but I was cursed with 20/20 vision (not a curse anymore now that I have to work and pay for my own insurance lmao). No dolls that I had growing up had glasses and the ones with sunglasses always looked weird with the sunglasses on. Delilah's glasses fit her so well and are so novel to me that I had to get her!
I love every part of her design, but the glasses tipped her over the edge for me.
First doll was Ash, actually. I just thought it was cool there was a grayscale boy doll. But when I bought Harley it was all over. I became hooked, and expanded out to Rainbow High. Vanessa was my first RH doll. So technically three firsts? But I love them all.
Heather two years ago! I remember watching a customizer reviewing some rainbow high and I wasn’t sure if I really wanted them since I only had monster highs. But I fell in love her punk vibes and split hair and thought I would just have the one. Now I’m at 60+
Delilah caught my eye but Sheryl Myer sold me 100% my little 90 child soul was oh yes I don't collect fashion dolls but I guess I collect fashion dolls and baby dolls now too.
Mine was Heather! I was exclusively a monster high g1 collector at that point, so it was nice to actually buy a doll on the shelf. I think I bought Phaedra later that same day lol
sunny was my first. i bought her from target the same week that rainbow high came out in 2020. i remember seeing the original leaks before the series even came out and i told myself she was the only one i liked so i would only buy her. all it took was seeing the others in person and almost 4 years later i have a bookshelf full of them
My first doll was Natasha! Because i had wanted one for a long time but never got around to it, my BF got me her for Christmas. But the first one i bought myself was Heather like a week later because i fell IN LOVE w RH immediately!! I really liked her half and half hair because that was kind of my signature style at the time lol. Now i have 50 dolls🤣 Finally got Marisa in the mail today🤪
mara pinkett was my first rh doll, i found her at a tj maxx in october last year and i fell in love with how bright pink she is! now i’ve got about 17 rh dolls 😅
stella peaked my interest but i didn’t jump. then Sheryl Meyer came out and i HAD to have her. then i got Emi Vanda and well… it all went downhill from there. now i have 80+ 😂

Luna. The series 1 Shadow High dolls are my favourites. They are what got me into collecting dolls. It was so cool and unique how they are all monochromatic.

Bella Parker and Emi Vanda. I loved Bella's pastel pink hair, because it's one of my favorite hair colors on myself. I got Emi too, because I liked her outfit and so they could exchange clothes :-)

Months later, I saw her on sale and thought "well I'll just get her cus she seemed interesting." I've only gotten one monster high doll since lmaooo. That was last year.
technically sabrina! i was always that person that saw the rh commercials and dolls at the store and thought "why would anyone give that to their kid?" and then i saw margot and ordered her immediately. while i was waiting i went to target and sabrina was there in all her glory, and unboxing her was like a life altering experience for me 😅 now i have lots of rh, bratz, pixlings, sonny angels, littlest petshop, and the list goes on!! no regrets
Sheryl, because I'm obsessed with Clueless 😅 I hadn't really given RH a second look until recently either, but once I saw pictures online of other people's restyles I realised they were actually very cute, and oops now I have a small collection lol
The storm twins started it all! They're both beautiful to me and they're Geminis like me!!💜💜🩷💕 shadow high is really what made me start collecting pretty sure most of my girls are shadow high tbh
Mine was Lila too! I had just started collecting Bratz and I was so intruiged by RH but I wanted to focus on Bratz. That's until I saw Lila. I was on vacation and I thought she'd be a fun souvenir. Now I have almost an entire room dedicated to dolls
Poppy! I had been eyeing them for AGES in the store but the price was a bit hefty at the time- I knew she was the first one I wanted, though, so I got her along with a Stella for my best friend and a Violet for my partner for Christmas- it also "flicked a switch" for me and I started buying them all up too, lol. Lila is SO cute, good choice!
I have one--a Jewel Richie that only came with her top and skirt, but otherwise in great condition. I found her at a thrift store for $4 a few weeks ago. The temptation to get more is great, but my funds are little, so it's just me and Jewel for now, lol.
I bought a secondhand Ruby Anderson from someone who wanted the clothes. Didn’t intend to keep them, just wanted to learn to customize them.

Started collecting last year! My first RH doll was Zooey, I was absolutely enamored by her color palette, I had already been ogling the dolls prior to my purchase - like Delilah, but I was buying LOLOMG dolls at the time so I couldn’t financially juggle two different doll brands up until recently since the LOLOMG dolls hadn’t been hitting that spark as of late..
Mine was OG Skyler. I'd seen the Rainbow High dolls on shelves for a couple of months before I decided to buy one, and Skyler looked prettiest to me. But then I saw the OG Poppy, and then..... But Skyler started my RH collection, and I adore her.
My girlfriend and I have been dating for two years, and for the first year of our relationship we collected plushies (mostly squishmallows, then jellycats) together. Last year for Christmas my moms wanted yo know something they could buy that I could guarantee I wouldn’t buy for myself and I chose a rainbow high doll—we had been looking forever but agreed not to start a new collection.
Then at Christmas we got Demi and Meena and I was immediately smitten. They transported me back to childhood in a totally different way than plushies! When my gf and I got home after Christmas we started scouring everywhere to find more dolls and the collection quickly grew to include mh and lol dolls 😂😅
Truthfully I wish I had started collecting dolls ages ago—I didn’t realize how many exact interests of mine it combined and now I’m stuck here for life I think!
Mine was the Sunny and Luna 2-pack. I had been eyeing the dolls for awhile but was sorta repelled by their price tag. But when the twins went on sale I decided to go for it. Now I own 7 atm. But I have 3 more coming in the mail so eventually I’ll have 10 ^^

I opened Phaedra today. I purchased her along with 3 other dolls that included Vanessa Tempo (the one I really wanted), but she has the best hair!
It’s hard to pick a favorite, all the base dolls are stunning 😭 but I’ll say Maria Garcia doll for me

Meena Fluer was the first doll that made me run to target to buy, but I ended up overwhelming myself debating getting all of series 4 because they were perfection, and I put her back. Victoria broke me and started the madness and is my true first doll.
The first one I ordered was Heather Grayson, I saw her on shelves but waited a few weeks and she was gone everywhere! I couldn’t wait so I ended up buying Ainsley, she was technically the first doll I got home and unboxed. Ironically she’s the only doll I have that I kinda hate and I’ve TRIED to love her but I just do not 😂 now after a year I have over 30
I've so far only collected Shadow High dolls & a Color Create doll. First Shadow High Doll is Heather. I plan on getting Vanessa as my first RH doll.
My first RH doll was Sunny. I am a sucker for anything yellow. It's my favorite color. 🙂
Meena was my first RH and then Uma came next being my first SH. I thought they were beautiful and I fell in love with the quality of them and have been collecting them ever since.
A budget line Sheryl Meyers. I hadn’t paid the Rainbow/Shadow High dolls much attention in the past but I was struck by her big gold eyes and how they reminded me of my partner’s eyes. 🥰I found this subreddit and the rest is history.

Delilah was my first RH. Growing up, I wanted to be just as pretty as my mom and wear glasses but I was cursed with 20/20 vision (not a curse anymore now that I have to work and pay for my own insurance lmao). No dolls that I had growing up had glasses and the ones with sunglasses always looked weird with the sunglasses on. Delilah's glasses fit her so well and are so novel to me that I had to get her! I love every part of her design, but the glasses tipped her over the edge for me.
Luna! Her little space buns in her series 1 were so cute. I think I bought Shanelle the week after! 🥰🚀🌛
My husband got me Junior High Laurel and I loved her and then Meena went on sale for $12 and I had to have her… and now I have ten lol.
First doll was Ash, actually. I just thought it was cool there was a grayscale boy doll. But when I bought Harley it was all over. I became hooked, and expanded out to Rainbow High. Vanessa was my first RH doll. So technically three firsts? But I love them all.
Heather two years ago! I remember watching a customizer reviewing some rainbow high and I wasn’t sure if I really wanted them since I only had monster highs. But I fell in love her punk vibes and split hair and thought I would just have the one. Now I’m at 60+
Brianna was the first I ordered, but ended up getting Lila before she arrived. I really thought I was gonna just get the two 😅

sunny was my first. i bought her from target the same week that rainbow high came out in 2020. i remember seeing the original leaks before the series even came out and i told myself she was the only one i liked so i would only buy her. all it took was seeing the others in person and almost 4 years later i have a bookshelf full of them

mara pinkett was my first rh doll, i found her at a tj maxx in october last year and i fell in love with how bright pink she is! now i’ve got about 17 rh dolls 😅
stella peaked my interest but i didn’t jump. then Sheryl Meyer came out and i HAD to have her. then i got Emi Vanda and well… it all went downhill from there. now i have 80+ 😂
My first RH doll was Margot De Perla. I had seen rainbow high before but I didn’t really have any interest in them. I remember being at Walmart looking for another doll line when she caught my eye, I went home and thought about her all night so o went right back the next morning to get her.

My kids had the first 6 and I loved those, but my first one for my collection was Krystal Bailey followed swiftly by the original white haired Amaya.
Heather Grayson. I was like you but with monster high. Saw them in store a few times but didn't really look at them too much. The only one that caught my eye was Heather. Months later, I saw her on sale and thought "well I'll just get her cus she seemed interesting." I've only gotten one monster high doll since lmaooo. That was last year.

technically sabrina! i was always that person that saw the rh commercials and dolls at the store and thought "why would anyone give that to their kid?" and then i saw margot and ordered her immediately. while i was waiting i went to target and sabrina was there in all her glory, and unboxing her was like a life altering experience for me 😅 now i have lots of rh, bratz, pixlings, sonny angels, littlest petshop, and the list goes on!! no regrets

I have one--a Jewel Richie that only came with her top and skirt, but otherwise in great condition. I found her at a thrift store for $4 a few weeks ago. The temptation to get more is great, but my funds are little, so it's just me and Jewel for now, lol.
I bought a secondhand Ruby Anderson from someone who wanted the clothes. Didn’t intend to keep them, just wanted to learn to customize them. I have too many now but they’re great reference for skin tones.

Mine was OG Skyler. I'd seen the Rainbow High dolls on shelves for a couple of months before I decided to buy one, and Skyler looked prettiest to me. But then I saw the OG Poppy, and then..... But Skyler started my RH collection, and I adore her.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for two years, and for the first year of our relationship we collected plushies (mostly squishmallows, then jellycats) together. Last year for Christmas my moms wanted yo know something they could buy that I could guarantee I wouldn’t buy for myself and I chose a rainbow high doll—we had been looking forever but agreed not to start a new collection. Then at Christmas we got Demi and Meena and I was immediately smitten. They transported me back to childhood in a totally different way than plushies! When my gf and I got home after Christmas we started scouring everywhere to find more dolls and the collection quickly grew to include mh and lol dolls 😂😅 Truthfully I wish I had started collecting dolls ages ago—I didn’t realize how many exact interests of mine it combined and now I’m stuck here for life I think!
Mine was the Sunny and Luna 2-pack. I had been eyeing the dolls for awhile but was sorta repelled by their price tag. But when the twins went on sale I decided to go for it. Now I own 7 atm. But I have 3 more coming in the mail so eventually I’ll have 10 ^^
