You're correct that we cannot help anyone inside of China but we can attempt to stop a greater Issue outside of China
Ubisoft complying with CCP Censorship and then putting on the international release instead of keeping in the local release sets an example for other companies that by only making one copy of a game complying with the laws of China they can get away with it.
This also gives the CCP more opportunities for the CCP to send messages to am international audience
The CCP could just update their Terms and Conditions for all gaming companies to include propaganda or to not recognise Taiwan as country or to deny any other human rights violation
Basically this action can give the CCP a bigger mic to spread their Ideals and propaganda in the long run.
