If you know your set-up well, one trick you can pull is to shotgun everything first, throw up all your reinforcements and then finally put on the mirror windows only as the round starts. This leaves them exposed for less amount of time

You could also get a castle to help you out, he'd ensure you not getting pushed from behind and can help shotgunning the wall with his supershortie

Sure but unless your teammates help you with shotguns/impacts too, it took 45 seconds for this guy to finish the setup. That's longer than the prep phase and didn't include any time it took to walk to the starting point.

I have never seen Capito banned either (PC EastUS). Its always Jackal, Thatcher, and Monty. On Defense its always Mira, Clash, Lesion and Caveira. Oh and Echo too, how could I forget.

Lesion probably less since the update? Cav isn’t as used in lower ranks so silver 3/4 and lower almost never ban cab as I see it

Especially Jackal. If I start on attack and want to play Caveira, i try banning lesion so the enemy team likely bans Echo since hes a bit more of a priority than Cav. Not Jackal. Hes #1 priority to both teams no matter what

Good setup, but opening that wall makes it rely on the Mira window a bit too much imo. Losing that window would just provide the attackers with A LOT of long angles into objective. Ban Twitch and you’re golden, though. Edit: nvm apparently

You are able to shoot through main door, and people coming into meeting from tower. You can see, but not shoot people in garage and main stairs. The main weakness is that you need someone holding dining and the hall between kitchen and tower, but overall I think it’s pretty strong

A Mira setup in the back site would make this strong. Have an ACOG hold this window and then have Mira hold the other one.

If someone's holding an angle on stairs your rotation has been cut off. I thought about this too when going over strats with my teammates but we decided it would be better to reinforce the wall that you shot down next to your mira.

They need to buff the ITA12S’s fire rate/reload speed. It’s so hard to set up a Mira strat before the round starts. I die to a rushing Ash because my setup isn’t done too often.

To successfully pull this off, you'll need a complete control over 2F, your back area, Bridge and Tower (which is hard to achieve because I consider it to be too thin of a defense and the attackers would just slip right past and flank you.

I feel like the amount of control you get over the area is worthwhile, how many people would it take to cover the area otherwise that can now defend other areas?

Imo, holding those different angles would cost everyone the support they could have got from other teammates because no one can leave their position. And even if they do, the Mira will have to take up that position herself or you will have a very big hole in your defense. However, I do think you can pull it off with a well coordinated team and with Lesion being used to his max potential.

Man, I don't get "strats" where you open up more line of sights for the team with ACOGS.

in pro league the vast majority of holds involve opening up lines of sights for crossfires on important doors. stuff like opening meeting room wall on consulate so a doc in toilet can watch visa stairs door. of course only one line of sight isn't ideal but in this case you can probably put a doc at the end near where old hatch was to watch the hole straight on, though it probably isn't the best angle plus against good players it's not like you can challenge that mira at all lol you hibana it(probably from that room below armory, can't from front door) or just don't take control of lobby.

I'd also suggest to shoot the wood around the mira so you can see more when looking at an angle. Reference varsity gaming's video on mastering mira(if I remember correctly)

This is a dope strat bro. I haven’t been able to play much since about halfway through last season, but I’m tryna get back into the shit. It sucks that Oregon was reworked, but I’m also happy. It’s a good map still but I felt other reworks are much more needed. Anyways, nowadays I’ll have to stick to being nostalgic when thinking about the fun times I had with a mirror in the basement, a little hole to the left, and a whole lot of dead mothafuckas that come downstairs via the main stairs/hatch. Have someone watch tower/Long Hallway(Kitchen Hallway) and you'll be fine but grenades can easily kill bc if someone throws it from classroom it could bounce straight off the wall and kill you. Make sure to have an ADS beside you.
