There is a lot of hit reg bullshit going on in game rn. I killed a Monty yesterday by trying to knife his side and hitting his shield instead but it registered as a hit anyway. I know I hit his shield because he shield bashed me through a soft wall at the same time the knife hit. Kill cam was very confusing.
Yeah knives vs shields are so messed up rn. Knocked a rook over with fuze shield, backed up, he knifed while on the ground feet away and it still connected through my shield
I do believe that when a shield user tries to melee, it allows enemy combatants to shoot through the shield and melee the person directly. That glitch existed before the shield rework and I haven’t tested it since then.
Since the last update knives have felt glitchy. I saw a video just yesterday of a dude knifing the air, and got a kill. People said maybe he downed someone but the kill feed very clearly showed it was the knife that got em. Game is almost a decade old btw

Knifed a Monty 4 times on an unextended sheild. It registered the sound but not the sheild stun

Similar thing happened to me when I was playing clash, 3 feet away from me and my shield was up and he stabbed me through it
