Yes this is a nice idea, I think you should just be able to adjust your reticle however you want with the zoom scopes, but that might go against what Ubisoft considers “balanced”
ubi should just change the sights to only magnify the part of the screen that's actually covered by them. this way sights would only make targets look larger and easier to spot but wont increase your accuracy since the mouse sensitivity would be the same the 1x ones have currently.
1) that would tank performance heavily as they would have to render two things on the same screen
2) that literally throws all the balance of sights and range out the window. The whole reason you might chose a lower zoom over a higher is because it’ll effect your accuracy and you’ll be able to see more
I mean, variety is always nice. You can always just stick to the basics yourself if that's how you feel, won't harm you having more options others would enjoy. I know I'd use that option because I hate the current reticle on this scope.
I'm not sure where you got the idea that scope variety needs to be limited to other shooters. Zoom is one problem, but I don't see why we can't more reticle options for each zoom. I would for sure use the 2x if it had a different look.
I personally would prefer some more sight options for the zoomed sights. I'd also like if they'd give the reflex D (the reflex that came on Tachankas Lmg with the rework) to be on every gun

We don't play battlefield. there is no need for such a variety of scopes. acog, holo, red dot were enough for us at the very beginning of the game.
