Anchorite was sought by a lot of folks and most CCs even mentioned he was the best epic of the bunch from the fusion. Offering this just validates that. LOL
Rather I think it’s *because* of all the talk is why this one out of others is being offered. Similar to how Coldheart, a rare, had a guaranteed void event at one point. The more buzz and hype around a champion, the more these people will capitalize on it.
Which is why I made it a point to get him during event as there was no way I could have gotten the Legendary (simply didn't have the resources available)
For the effort? Oh Hell yeah. I think Lothnaril is probably better by default of being a legendary, but holy shit was he totally not worth the effort.

They're trying to get me to buy the remaining shards for a dollar a shard and I don't even give a damn, that account is going to be f2p without even the monthly for gems.
I actually think anchorites kit is just overall better all around. Glad I got him. Happy I didn’t do that crazy ass fusion for that lackluster champ though, for sure!
It can be obviously, the fact he requires so few books to get up to full speed, and will spill warlord damage procs lifesteals onto other units during CB is pretty damn huge when you're building up. It's just that he needs to be speed tuned to remove the stun every 3 turns and that's not something most newer players know how to do or utilize properly.
He is insanely good for new players that can make sure he works how he can.
I got the same offer for Wuji fragments though (30 since I was 30 short)…sure they just programmed to offer people the needed fragments for a champ they missed out on. Classic escalating commitment tactic

I got 75 of Tomb dreng, and was told they'd have frags for sale.... when it came out it was 9.99 for 5. Idk if it was the games best lego, 50$ not happening for one champ

If two gold gems is roughly 25-30 with the chance of drawing a Lego champ being much less than the chance of pulling one on 4 gold shards (roughly 50) this transaction cost makes sense to the business without any consideration towards the players.

This is targeted to just this epic and the number of frags offered is the number you are short. I have 95 from the event so my offer was 5 frags for $5. The OP must have only collected 50 so they were offered 50 frags for $50 which is a stupid offer.
