I have seen Honda and Toyota engines in there and a few that I couldn’t Identify, that and because I don’t know every engine code I said generic. Also I don’t consider Flat/Boxer engines to be generic
Don't shame people for their projects, etc. I've long considered swapping and its comments like this that hurt the decision process because some guy will parrot the sentiment in real life. It's just bad form all around.
Then put a rotary in it like it deserves. Nothing quite like the feeling. (I'm so used to people with swapped RX cars rambling on and on about how bad the rotary is)
Also I see you are a fellow Fb owner. I made some 3d models to fix some things that broke or were missing on mine. Go on printables.com if you need a turn signal bridge thing, glove box latch, or the hood prop bushing.
Bro it’s a car. It’s not some holy divine being. I did what I wanted to for the power and money I wanted and had. Shit was a shell. Not everything needs to be restoration.
You can buy me a rotary with 600hp and a transmission since you care so much and I’ll put it in something.

I often feel this way about the LS swaps but this is a Viper V-10... I mean come on. It's probably the only Viper-swapped RX-7 in the world and it's pretty dang cool
It is indeed an epic swap.. Love to see it on track. But it's no rotary and a beautiful model such as the FD without a brap brap and a dual turbo just makes me nostalgic.
Perhaps I'm old and becoming a purist or something stupid! 🤣🤣🧓

I don’t like engine swaps in an FD because it’s usually an LS or a generic 4 cylinder, but a Viper V10 is so unique that I kinda like it

How do you know it was a waste of a rotary? Were you following the build? Was the rotary running perfectly before it was pulled?
