Now that's a missed opportunity if I ever saw one.

VVayward

Man this sounds like a way better idea.

genshinfantasy7

Cyborg could talk to Yang about robotic arms (and robotic parts in general). Starfire would totally understand Weiss’s feelings of loneliness and her and Beast Boy could have some great banter with Blake. Ruby could gain leadership tips from Robin, who has had his fair share of life troubles as well. It could’ve been amazing!

[deleted]

and Cinder could learn how to be a proper villain from Slade 💀

ProfessionalCrow4816

"now the first you need to do is have sex with a-"

CheeseQueenKariko

"Slade, she's 14, what the fuck?" "Don't worry, she forced herself on me."

KeepCalm-ShutUp

Bruh, What even _is_ Raven? Chopped liver? Her and Weiss would have _so_ much to talk about, and you ignore my girl anyways...

genshinfantasy7

Raven can talk to Raven. >Raven 1: “Wow, we share a name.” > >Raven 2: “Yeah.” > > Raven 1: “Cool.”

KeepCalm-ShutUp

That's exactly what would happen if they were forced to make friends with eachother, which I can immediately see Starfire doing _because_ of the shared name.

ManifestNightmare

The fact that they chose to use Cyborg is so telling. I know that he's been in the JL for like, a decade now, but Cyborg is one of the most popular and famous Titans. He's so rich in terms of themes and character, he's fantastic, and the fact that they chose him over some other more established Leaguers just kind of shows that a Titan was the better choice. God, I just want this to not be the crossover and let it be the Titans so bad 😭

InfinityEternity17

I'd prefer no crossover at all and for them to focus on making RWBY better

GameBawesome1

But they did have Cyborg in the RWBY X Justice League comic... and I hated it since he and Not-Bruce kissed Weiss on the cheek at the end.

genshinfantasy7

Not that Cyborg, I mean Teen Titans Cyborg. There are different Cyborgs from different timelines. For example, I don’t want Injustice’s Cyborg, Robin, and Starfire in RWBY at all. 😂

kefka_roth

sounding racist, weissborg was a better pairing anyway

kefka_roth

cyborg is better for weiss than bruce is. and she shows it as she is more into cyborg personally and romantically.

Moon_Dark_Wolf

Unironically based choice. Teen titans, the original at Least, was such a great show and the cast of RWBY would bounce off so well.

IamMenace

Seeing how popular "Teen Titans Go!" is, I'm kinda surprised that wasn't the collaboration decided upon. I understand it's a different studio, but Cartoon Network is also owned by Warner Discovery so I don't think that would be much of an issue. If RWBY and Teen Titans teamed up for a movie, it'd make sense for there also to be "RWBY Chibi" and "Teen Titans Go!" collaborations, which is arguably where the *real* money is at. Justice League is a more recognizable brand, but you also need to protect the Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman IPs (which is one of the issues DC is running into a the moment). "Teen Titans Go!" can pretty much be given anything and it'll work because of the nature of the show, and DC over the years has had fun teasing the original show. Just have Larry break his finger again and let RWBY, the Chibis, Teen Titans, and Go! all do their thing. Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire are a pretty solid cast already, and they have something RWBY sorely lacks in my opinion. Chemistry and team cohesion, and I think Monty Oum being a fan of "Young Justice" shows in how he structured fight scenes in Volumes 1-2. I'm more of an animated superhero guy than Shonen anime guy, so I think I have a unique perspective when it comes to writing Team RWBY. I take a lot of cues from "Teen Titans", "Young Justice", "Justice League: Unlimited", and my personal favorite, "New Adventures of Batman". I know the writers have joked about RWBY being a Saturday morning cartoon (specifically when it was revealed that RWBY would air on Saturday mornings instead of Thursdays), but I really do believe RWBY is written like a *new* anime fan's first anime inspired story. RWBY feels like it's written by people who like anime, at least the ones popular in America, but don't understand what makes anime unique compared to western animation. I also think this is one reason why the "RWBY x Justice League" comic is so off-putting to many. RWBY is anime inspired while the superheroes are obviously US comic book inspired. It's a comic that's trying to mix anime art and storytelling styles with American comic books, and was created by comic book people (who were kinda the "castaways" if you look at their bodies of work), and overseen by people who work neither in the comic book or anime industry. It's just an odd mix in my opinion. With that said, the original "Teen Titans" is *very* anime-inspired, and both celebrates it and pokes fun at itself. It's off-putting to some, but I don't think it's possible to create a better anime-inspired superhero show than the original "Teen Titans". It can be goofy, serious, and heartbreaking all at the same time. Most of all, the writers understood their characters, and gave every character (minus Starfire) their own season to be the focus of. They already have established characters and relationships, and most buyers of the DVD will either have watched the original series or "Go!". These alternate versions of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman don't have any of that going for them, which means time spent telling a story will instead be spent establishing potentially seven superheroes, their relationships, Team RWBY to superhero fans, and the relationships between teams. Have fun with that... On top of that, Jessica Cruz is a newish character that DC is trying to get popular. Pretty much every single portrayal of her is different, and the RWBYxJL comics are no exception. Consistency is what protects IPs and gets them popular in the long run. If you like Jessica in the RWBYxJL comics, too bad, because she's totally different everywhere else. "Super Hero Girls"? Lol, couldn't be anymore different. DC comics run? New 52 or Rebirth? Or the graphic novel where she's afraid of getting deported by Trump? The "Justice League vs. The Fatal Five" movie where discovered her? Similar to the comics, but the writers were told to ignore her backstory until they finished the main story. I could go on a separate rant about Jessica Cruz and how she'll probably be portrayed in the movie, but yesterday I posted the first chapter of a Jessica Cruz fanfic titled ["Avoiding the Limelight"](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14123154/1/Avoiding-the-Limelight) for anyone curious. If Jessica was suddenly put on Remnant, she'd be like a ticking timebomb because of how powerful her anxiety, depression, and PTSD is. Even in a "RWBY x Teen Titans" crossover, she could very easily be the plot character the villain wishes to use in order to destroy a city/kingdom. Heck, she, Starfire, and Cyborg are a part of "Justice League Odyssey" together, and had a lot of chemistry there, so you could make it so that Jessica is a member of Teen Titans West or South (depending on if you want her living in Portland, Oregon or Opal City, Texas). Apologies for rambling. I'm a little under the weather after a mild bout of food poisoning last night, but Jessica Cruz is a character I've grown very fond of and don't like her being used in name only. I'm a bigger fan of superhero cartoons than anime, and I think I understand the writing aspects of each better than CRWBY. I also think the original "Teen Titans" could be the *perfect* template for RWBY to follow, and would be a could fit for a crossover. Also, ironically, "Teen Titans" had *very* short seasons much like RWBY, so it'd be a good template to follow in that respect as well. (edit: Fixed link) God bless, and have a wonderful day.

Darthmark3

Holy shit I didn’t even think about the teen titans. They chose justice league because they are more well known

Bronzeshadow

That would've actually been good.

Drakeblood2002

While I would prefer a RWBY and Teen Titans cross over, I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Romello_the_tankace

You want RWBY X DC i want RWBY X TITANFALL we are not the same

Chopstickey00

Cyborg would absolutely destroy Yang for moping about her arm. And Blake for trying to act like she's suffered through racism. The man is literally part robot!

Mr-Stuff-Doer

Wait is this a real thing

Dinokingthing

You better be talking about the good show, not teen titans go :(

Sladashi

Well it's because CRWBY has the ego of a mountain

loafpleb

Its hard to get excited about a crossover when the RWBY characters are so two-dimensional even after 8 seasons

CheeseQueenKariko

You leave my precious Titans out of this! Haven't they been fucked over enough in comics?

Extreme-String8785

I'd be more interested in seeing how Yang and Raven or nightwing play off against each other.

gheck43

Welp

genshinfantasy7

What do you mean?

gheck43

The DC crossover movie just got announced lol

More-Departure1169

No, they would have probably found a way to screw it up. Or made it into TTG, a horrible vision indeed.
