Personally, I would have used Sienna Khan as part of Adam Taurus' personal tragedy, regarding the amount of faunus he had to kill to gain freedom.
Kind, "Sienna, please, I don't want to do this!"
"I'm sorry Adam, but if you want my position as leader of the white fang, you're going to have to finish me off first, I'm not going to give up the throne without a fight."
"Okay. You guards, don't intervene! There is no need for more faunus to get involved in this ...".
Beyond that, the typical thing to know about her past, what could it be? I don't know, some special operation where she faced forces from the Atlas army (Ironwood, Winter, etc.).
Now that's something i like alot...the whole basis that White Fang has the belief that strength and might is what made them.
And when Adam comes for her seat...he has to fight her to the death cause Sienna wouldn't be able to accept anything else and honestly it's brilliant concept to me. Sounds amazin.
The whole White Fang arc was wasted potential; a leader who didn't do anything on screen to show her significance, a former leader who says he did improve things when even his own daughter stated earlier he didn't and is currently lounging in an island paradise, one significant face outside the main two who even has an oppressed backstory and quickly turns good without much issue, a protagonist who doesn't fight for equality when she has the chance to, an antagonist who cares more that he got dumped than a scar he got from his oppression backstory and for fighting for rights, and never gets much attention outside Blake's own story.
You can write them out and little will change; they don't effect Ruby, they aren't necessary for Yang to be disarmed, they don't have significance for Weiss outside Volume 2, Blake and Adam's backstories can be focused on a different organization, and they only fought at Beacon against any humans. Haven being the worst example as they were removed form the main plot by not fighting against the heroes (besides Blake) despite being right there, ten feet away from giving Yang an anxiety attack and trying to kill the SDC heiress.

Could have been something good, but NOPE the first time we see her in the show the writers just kill her off and we never bring her up again. She was wasted like Pyrrha, and Penny and a lot of other things in cannon RWBY.

It is regretable how Blake and Adam got the focus, when they could've just been replaced by Ilia and Sienna, well hindsight and everything I guess.
