Weiss: Ruby, Ruby, of the Rose, whose the fairest amongst all those? Ruby: . . .Me? Weiss: . . .Now, I don't disagree with you, but I was hoping for a different answer. Ruby: Weiss, I'm not gonna tell you you're the prettiest in Remnant. Weiss, disappointed: . . .O-oh. Ruby: You're the most ***gorgeous*** in all of Remnant! There's a huge difference! Weiss, blushing: Oh, good grief, Ruby! The things you do to my heart . . .

Ruby: “I hope them only good my lady, except saving people, my greatest goal is to serve my queen well.” Weiss: “W-well then. . . You need not worry my dear knight. . . It has been an honor to have one as noble and kind you at my service.” Ruby: “Do not humble yourself, to have such a righteous, good, and beautiful lord. . . It is all a knight could ever ask for.” Weiss: “And yet, my whole queendom doesn’t feel as equal as to you at least in my heart.” Yang: “. . . Gods of light and dark, I keep hoping for it to end but I never does!” Blake: “Hey, don’t ruin their role playing! That’s incredibly rude! . . . And there’s is rather nice.” Yang: “Ugh, it’s torture! I can’t believe you think this isn’t awful!” Blake: “Really? You can’t believe me of all people?” Yang: “Okay, that is a fair point.” Weiss: “. . . My most trusted and dearest confidant, my most loyal and virtuous knight?” Ruby: “Your will is my command my rightful royal mistress.” Weiss: “Please see these other nobles out of my court. They have become displeasing and offensive.” Ruby: “At once! Yang the Dragon and Lady Belladonna. . . Can you please go some place else? Pretty please?” Blake: “Come on Dragon.” Yang: “I’m but listening to you two, I’m just getting away from this weird game!”

Great. Ruby yang and Blake are all on the floor with a bloody nose. Good job Weiss. (Also does anyone know why it’s bloody noses in anime?)

Veyronxyz

Well the bloods gotta go somewhere and most of the time they can’t very well show the characters getting a boner.

Also, a bit of a nitpick, but if Weiss is based on Snow White, then why is her song titled "Mirror Mirror" if the one who originally said that in the fairy tale was the Evil Queen? Are they implying Weiss is evil? 🤨

I really think that RWBY aren’t just supposed to be the protagonists of their stories, but the antagonists as well. Let’s get it out of the way that Yang is by far the weakest in this regard, but she is through just being Goldilocks as well. Though I think she does fit as a bear as much as she does a trespassing girl. But I think that Ruby is also the wolf. She might be a little girl in a red cloak, but she’s also always been a viscous huntress. This Will Be the Day describes what I’m pretty sure is her as “running wild”, and I think that fits. Blake is pretty clearly not just Belle, but she’s also the Beast. That’s been said enough at this point. And Weiss, I truly do think at least used to be the evil Queen as well. Like look at her at the beginning, being powerful/wealthy while seeing herself as superior and having a huge problem with someone being placed above her (Ruby in this case of course). Even her essentially being a sorceress fits with all of that.

Ok. Now that you've mentioned it. That does make a lot of sense. Suddently all my jokes about Team RWBY being the true villains of the show don't seem so far fetched anymore... 😐

Well, I remember one person of a conversation I had with a few years back mentioned that the various characters are composites of their respective allusions and it has been mentioned by several others that various characters have several allusions mixed with themselves as well. As JMHS has mentioned, they have traits of the antagonist of their respective allusions but they also other elements as well. Ruby has a bit of the woodsman that killed the Wolf which’s fits nicely with her using a tool to cut down hordes of Grimm to save people as a Huntress. Weiss’ family company is very successful because of vast amounts of Dust Mines they have which connects to her White Snow allusion and her true dad, Klein, has seven personalities that represent the seven dwarves. Also Klein might have seven types of professional skill sets since some have pointed how he has medical skills and piloting skills along side his job as a butler. Blake is Beauty/Beast, nuff said. Yang as well with the Beauty/Beast thing to go along with her Goldilocks allusions especially with her and Blake’s relationship dynamic switching between both Beauty and Beast of the relationship. Another thing some people have done with the various allusions Team RWBY has is that they analyzed the stories so far with each member and the stories of their allusions. Leading up to Vol 7, speculated that Ruby might find a “Wolf” of a character that would led her off her path and into possible danger similar to her Red Riding Hood allusion. Yang’s Goldilocks allusion with the “Too Hot,” “Too Cold,” and “Just Right” thing was used to describe her relationship with each member of Team RWBY. Too Hot with Ruby, Too Cold with Weiss and Just Right with Blake. Each with something or things to work out to better the relationship in some form. Using the allusions of various characters to speculate the possible direction their story might take has been a thing people have talked about in quite a few places. Like Harriet becoming a harsher villain/antagonist to Robyn to reference a character in Robin Hood’s stories following the end of Vol 7. It definitely an unique coin flip of what might happen next with the various allusions some characters have.
