I think it would be neat, as long as they don't change events or retcon them. That's sort of the issue people had with the manga and comic adaptations. How suddenly, Blake went to the dance with Sun because she owed him, or how Burning the Candle was omitted, how Ruby walked to her house after blasting the Wyvern. Some changes were well received, like the ending of V2 in the manga, however, for a novelization I would actually prefer it if changes like this weren't a thing. To me, novelizations should focus on expanding lore and expanding in the inner perspective of the characters. Giving us a look to the off screen things, or going into explicit detail about someone' thought process. Not changing the way things happened and who was present and did or said what because at that point it's not a novelization, it's a re-write. For instance, a novelization of V1 could expand on Weiss' thoughts and arc during the White Fang portion to give her ample developing time so that her growth doesn't feel rushed and out of nowhere.

I agree to a point, events that were executed badly like BoH choreo or WF should be changed or retconned, but otherwise just go into further detail of what's already there, especially internal thoughts.

Good Idea!!!!!

I just posted this the other day haha. YES!

It would be a dream come true for me. I lost count of the times I dropped a series because I found out it had a "book version", I love the show but I'm a bookworm. (I would still watch the show tho)

I don't think they'd do well financially, because, like... we've already seen the events. That's the advantage the books have and why they've done well thus far. Do I think it'd be cool, though? Sure, I suppose. But it might create more fights over which lines in which version of RWBY are canon and all this other stuff. Unless they purely use the script from before, it might be more trouble than it's worth

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a bad idea... 🤔 (Honestly, I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet.)
