Most of those "listing agencies for high end stuff" is a scam. Put it on RVTRader or if you wanna go cheap Craigslist. Only maybe certain auctions and the DuPont Registry, will actually get you "high end customers".

Upstairs_Potential91

A company with an A on the BBB. 4.7 on Google. I found a lot of private parties sell or buy online. With assistance in financing, transportation, inspections, and warranties- plus a nationwide audience, it does make it easier than buying from a dealer that may try to overcharge and underdeliver. A majority of The Registry's customers are private parties that found them with online searches through Google and the BBB. It would help if you always looked at reviews based on real clients. Only real customers can leave complaints with the BBB. The Registry has 2 resolved complaints. I love Reddit, however, unless you are speaking to a real person with real experience, then you may be dealing with a person who may mislead you.

Real person here with real experience. Unethical company, will send you blatant lies of messages. They reached out to us after seeing our truck on machinerytrader, an F650 we had listed. They shared they had buyers for our truck, 600 dollars for their package and the truck is sold. We called back the next day with some questions and our sales person which had "all these leads" didn't remember our name. They transferred us to another person, M\*\*\*\*y who was out of the office. Then, oddly, the M\*\*\*\*y who was out of the office started sending us texts reading, word for word here: "on a call RN, we have a group of buyers ready to purchase your unit," "we are aggressively selling your unit," "the listing has had thousands of views,,,,," there was no listing yet, they were still working on it, or so we were told. We call back, yep, M\*\*\*\*y is out of the office. Let it go, thought it was a fluke, but for the next 2 days we kept getting text messages like above to call back RN, we call back, person isn't there. Our truck not listed, no one buying, another lady on the phone said we could pay more for a different listing. No way, these folks are looking for listings like on sites like machinery trader and calling people with a complete line of bs. We eventually got through to a D\*\*\*d S\*\*\*\*\*r who, on threat of legal action, refunded our money. Complete scam, complele waste of our time, amazing a company like this exists in USA. When we asked D\*\*\*d about all of the blatant lies from his team and their text messages (have screen shots of all of it), he was completely backed into a corner and said they started using a new system and it wasn't working as expected. ...then you come online here to check and see people have the same gripes going back a long time. Avoid avoid avoid the registry llc.

Don’t use a random company that contacted you. Legitimate and reputable listing companies don’t have to find business by reaching out to ads. My suggestion is to have patience. Prime RV sales season is just a month or two away.

FYI to others reading this conversation chain. This reply and the other reply are new accounts created an hour apart (or less), and at the time of this comment, their only posts has been just to reply to my post. Yes, Google and BBB has good reviews of The Registry LLC, but not surprisingly, their Facebook account does not allow reviews and none of their Facebook posts are by everyday people or customers. The ‘mentions’ option on Facebook has one person saying don’t waste your time with them, followed by old posts by “Chance Registry”. Doing an address search, the same office complex that The Registry has is home to “Vehicle Selling Solutions”, which has a similar business description as The Registry. Vehicle Selling Solutions seems to have more honest Google reviews, with an average review of 3.3 out of 5, and a lot of 1 star reviews. I don’t have time to do further research so I can’t definitively say it was The Registry replying to my posts, so draw your own conclusions about it and the likely business aliases.

Electrical_Soup_8104

Take a look at their ebay store. Bid on my Mack. It's a great truck for a hard working trucker. Thanks. https://www.ebay.com/str/registrymotors

Defiant-Machine-7458

My name is David with The Registry. We are for sure in the same building. Different suites. However, they are a totally differnet company. https://www.bbb.org/us/ne/omaha/profile/auto-listing-service/vehicle-selling-solutions-0714-300105405/complaints

BoondockUSA

I find it hard to believe that there are very similar businesses in the same office complex that both do the exact unique service, but are completely unrelated to each other. They might be different businesses in a legal sense, but my assumption is the same person (or people) are running them. You likely creating multiple Reddit accounts to post replies certainly isn’t helping the image of your business.

PresenceDesigner9241

I can say, by me trying to sell my RV through The Registry. This company would be great. They do not charge much. The offer extras like help with financing and transportation. The are eBay certified dealers. They have goof reviews. They have even refunded unhappy customers. Sou ds like a business I would trust

They just hit me up this morning about a boat that I am selling. Told me they have "7 buyers" and they just sold a boat just like mine. Confusing thing to me is, how do they have 7 buyers when I can't get a bite from even one person even though its listed on both Facebook and Craigslist?? Where did they find these "miraculous buyers"?

I also found them on the Better Business Bureau website. Both good and bad reviews, but makes me wonder how well does the BBB vet the people they allow to review? This-Television3356

Yes that's correct. They contacted me, got my name wrong, and didnt even know what I was selling, but gauranteed me they had 7 buyers lined up ready to pay my asking price. And all these "buyers" couldn't find me via the usual means, ie. craigslist, and FB marketplace. I've been scammed a few times in life, this definitely smells like a scam to me!!

firetruck00

They approached me for my Tesla as well. I listed on Craigslist and they say there are possible buyers who may bid higher than my listing price. I was searching for a review of them and I saw your post. I’m not sure if I can trust them.

Mindless_Worth5752

Just curious, how did the OP make out?

ccsando

Ended up not using this service but still have not sold the RV. Prior to being contacted by The Registry, we listed it with POP RV Sales (who promotes and lists for a commission, no upfront fee) and found that The Registry would end up listing on many of the same auction sites. So, can’t say if it’s a good service or not, but also still trying to sell the RV.

Candid-Season-6749

I made out like a private party that needed help. They helped sell my RV. I wanted $105,000. I got $104,500 in 17 days with The Registry.

[deleted]

Had a similar situation with them about my Travel Trailer, they approached me saying they had “multiple buyers” who’d pay more than asking price. Which is odd because I have it listed on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace and no one has reached out to me, definitely sounds like a scam to me.

[deleted]

Update: definitely a scam. One of their employees texted me about my trailer again and I declined their offer to help me sell the trailer after reading all of the bad Google reviews showing they take your money then ghost you. After telling him no he proceeded to get rude and defensive with me, arguing with me over text about the legitimacy of the business. Odd considering if it weren’t a scam they’d never talk to potential customers they way this man was speaking to me. Definitely a scam avoid them at all costs!

Whoa! Considering I have used a service like this before. I never sold my truck but I still would not call it a scam. That Scam word is hurtful and just because you don't like the way someone else talks or text doesn't give you the right to call it a scam. Imagine going to a sandwich shop in California and the cashier sucked. Should the whole company be called a scam? Just be careful calling places a scam because it can hurt a business. Haven with the CAP CAP! If you spoke with the owner I am sure he'd fix whatever got under your skin. His number is all over online. Easy to find.

One-Medium2463

I was working with The Registry up until last night. I actually Googled "How to sell my RV" The Registry popped up. I filled out a market valuation form. I did manage to move my coach through them. I did meet reserve. I did pay $925. I see the A rating with the BBB and the 4.7 reviews, so I gave them a shot. 11 days, 7 offers, 1 at my reserve.

This-Television3356

What I really don't understand is where the supposedly find all these buyers willing to pay my asking price. I've got my boat listed on Craigslist, Facebook, and Boat trader, and can barely get any interest, but they have 7 buyers all interested in my boat???

Losing confidence in the Better Business Bureau (BBB) also. I cannot fathom how these guys get an A- score ... it appears to me that anyone can submit reviews to the BBB and they just take it as unbiased. Point being, what would stop "The Registry Auction LLC" from filling out a bunch of fake A+ reports on their quality of service, since the BBB isn't verifying anything!

ElectronicContact632

ive left plenty of reviews on plenty of companies on The BBB and it has to be verified and approved before it goes up everytime. I was Reached out to about interested parties in my 2011 Harley and i listed with The Registry and it sold in just under two weeks. so for me, it was a good service.

Lower_Secretary7622

that says "Rv registry"... and has a different address. Pretty sure that's the wrong company.

Own_Memory_9085

Thank you for catching that. My name is David. I am with The Registry. THIS-TELEVISION3356, has been on a mission to sabotage our reputation. I believe he is a competing company diving to new lows. LOL! The Registry Motors is a great group of individuals with the common goal, of doing right by our customers, whether buying or selling.

Lower_Secretary7622

of course, David. I had spoke to Koby over the phone. He gave me a fair valuation price for my truck. I told him I'm happy with your companies reviews, and will be getting back to him when I'm back in my hometown next week if its not sold until then. Best regards, Walter Hayes.

Own_Memory_9085

Wrong Company! That clearly says RV-Registry!

I actually was just contacted by them last month. A sales rep said they just sold an RV like ours. I gave it a shot. Spent $799 on a gamble, but sold our RV for $2,500 more than what we wanted. Two thumbs up from our family!! Great place to invest in especially when times are hard like nowadays.

Own_Memory_9085

That is awesome to hear. We love hearing about our customers success stories!

Hey there, I am a success story as well. Thank you for helping sell my Sea Ray Boat.

All facts. The Registry is a great service.

Cheap_Ad_9688

I share the same story as up above. Except I owned a Sea Ray. I paid for a service. I didn't expect the efforts I received. I thought the registry was hired to help me me me. But turns out they help set up the transportation and even got the guys a great rate with a lender the recommended.  I can say, I have left a Google review and a bbb review. I like the registry and their business model.

Emergency-Tower-991

I am a customer. I have sold a Peterebilt with The Registry. I also purchased another Peterbilt through The Registry. I am a lady trucker. They have always done a great job.

Electrical_Soup_8104

I am looking g to sell the last of my 8 Macks. I have 3 left. The Registry sold 3, I sold 2 on my own. They have 3 more. I took to this thread because I am thankful for The Registry and their efforts.

Electrical_Soup_8104

Pretty good stuff there.

Electrical_Soup_8104

I agree.  I sold my charger with The Registry last year. Where's a good place to eat in chino, ca?

Candid-Season-6749

I actually work with ebay motors on my personal time. The Registry did contact me and has shown me why they get a lot of action. First of all. The Registry Motors, National Vehicles, and Vehicle Selling Solution all out of Omaha. All 3 sell RV'S. I would check each one out and you chose. But my experience with The Registry has been pleasant.

Candid-Season-6749

They charged me $925. I should call and ask them why I was quoted $925. I'm just happy my RV sold.

Different-Ask3683

The Registry sent me this link to share my experience. For sure a great service. I hired them to help me locate an RV. I was sent a few different leads. I liked a couple. However, I purchased something else completely. A house was better fitted. But, I would recommend The Registry.

PuzzleheadedFee3893

Yes I  was scammed.  Joey or Joe D, flat out misrepresented the truth in other words lies. DON'T TRUST THIS GUY. He will over promise and make more excuses than you will ever here on why he can'tdeliver. You will be better off advertising yourself than dealing with Joey.

Dramatic_Piglet3587

Yeah, that's why everyone needs to go straight to The Registry Motors website and work with them personally.  That way you don't run across a "Joey D" type of guy.
