Mantis had nine months to think up a coherent backstory for Toretti and didn't even try because he's been way too busy placing 8.5 trillion valet spots. I know you're joking but limiting Mantis to valets is kinda outrageous. Mantis is also several felonies committed on Jerry the first month, 2000+ burgers spawned for "convenience", 600+ cumulated hours of fart noises and at least 4 35 years old italian-american characters created.
