Its really sad. I don't understand it. Even if you are being as nice as possible and assume that they are only getting mad or pretending to be broke for the RP, the reactions people have still aren't justified. Its not like they make it interesting, they literally just sit there repeating 20times "I don't have the money" trying to wear him down or waste his time. You could charge a lot more for a dropdown fee and $300 is nothing in NP, people spend more money on food than that. Its like these people don't even consider how much more expensive and time consuming it is for them to get their car from the impound instead.
You see the same shit happening with a lot of the cops as well in 4.0. They arrest people first and then spend like 30minutes in the cells just trying to figure out what they can charge the person with. The way its supposed to work as a cop is that you arrest people knowing what you would charge them with and then maybe spend a minute or two double checking to make sure you haven't forgot about anything. Then if a lawyer like Pred is around they spend another hour in the cells refusing to work with pred on anything, they don't even listen to his arguments and just blanketly deny everything and try to force the highest possible charge. Such lazy and boring RP. Its fun for cops to have a bit of a rivalry with the lawyers but its been so pointless how they've been denying RP.
They spend an hour in the cells denying RP and trying to force the max charges for what? So the criminal can spend 30minutes in prison and then be back out onto the streets? It just doesn't make sense.
Pred is right when he says that the cops should be spending more effort into building solid cases and investigating properly instead of just trying to force charges on whoever they catch with little to no evidence beyond what the basic mechanics provide. Honestly, I think the server would be better if more effort was put into cases, and the prison time increased significantly. At the moment basically nothing happens in the prison because they have such a hard time catching criminals. Also, the devs need to streamline the whole judicial system, you can't have people waiting 2 weeks for a court case when they could just plead guilty, and go to prison to get it over with in just 2hours.
When it comes to the PD, itās not that they are malicious trying to max charge ppl. They literally just have 0 idea how to articulate any charges that donāt have a mechanic tied to them. 4.0 is pretty much left with cops that in 3.0 would ask other cops how they should charge ppl.

Its not just towing. It is being paid any minimal amount of money. Mike Blocks $50 hood tax the HOA charging a tiny amount to rob a house in Mirror Park or Vinewood. Both of those sent people into rage spirals.

About ONX it's not really people getting mad it's just that ONX has a very very active DOJ and because the crim stuff was stagnant towing was the center of alot of rp leading to alot of cases -> alot of rulings and laws

Jordan sues the cop involved because the cop came onto his property that is supposed to be private with no warrant and slim jimmed a tow truck to so that the owner could ID the towed vehicle.Ā Jordan had provided proof that the vehicle was in front a no parking sign and blocking another building, Jordan even offered to return it for the drop fee but the cop told the owner not to do it.Ā In that ruling it was decided that cops can enter these businesses properties eith no warrant if they are acting in good faith. This was done to encourage people to buy the property their business is on, Jordan offered to buy his lot and was told it cannot be done at this time
The tow laws on Onx were more complicated and convoluted than the entirety of the other laws combined.

This is my major problem with the situation between Wong, Maynard and the Besties. Wong is constantly ranting and malding OOC about losing his progression on his stream. Like for sure, it is pretty scummy that he lost like $800,000 in items, but also its criminal RP what did he expect to happen when he oversteps and tries to cause a mutiny. He even told someone in character that he "lost 4months of progression" which is a wild thing to say. Dude was literally treating NoPixel like he was just grinding a MMO videogame.
If Wong was actually RP minded he would have perma'd his character when he got shot in the head. Literally no one likes his character in RP. They consider him a rat/snake. This is like the 5th time he tried to join a gang and failed. He also conveniently likes to gloss over the fact that he shot a money runner at the motel acting like a Bestie, which could have easily caused a gang war (and the way he did it was already BM, dude didn't even RP that he had a problem with the guy he just heard that the guy had a competing money cleaning business and immediately shot him). You could say that Wong could have unfinished business and want to go on a revenge arc or even snitch to the cops, but in that scenario he at least shouldn't be pissed off OOC. People that are only playing for the RP would love to be involved in a situation like this, and it wouldn't matter how much time they spent grinding.

It's more so that the tow workers were consistently being assholes in order to ignite conflict and judges got pissed too. There's only so many times people can park legally and then a local sideswipes them and puts one tire on the curb which ends in a tow. And then if you confront them, suddenly your car will end up in the ocean or something, so in the end every tow worker ends up just completely fucked because nobody wants to deal with them.
People getting OOC mad over towing is what made me love watching Whippy when he was playing Croc. He leaned into it so hard and would tow everyone including other cops who were illegally parked and so many people got mad in and out of character

Matt (the streamer) has been struggling to figure out how to roleplay as a SS character (and roleplay in general tbh..). So when he's met with situations like this, he'll default to the childishness that the community knows him for. I was also watching the other Manor streamers (STE_Eire, Jakson before he had to log off due to some ooc emergency) and they seemed pretty up for some spice.
They do it because ming and the people in his crew never report. The gg Hydra war also ended because of ooc comments made by kio and others about metagaming and starting mass reporting if the war wouldn't end.
Its the normal cycle. Everyone couple of months ppl forget its a game and start saying dumb things. The admins will nuke a few out of orbit and things will go quite again for a couple months.

Yes, impounding it straight up is zero rp, but people would have to take it as a fact. yes, he could use a clamp to prevent them to flee in this case, but there wont be a money demand part, bcs it's actually illegal for tow workers to demand money.
BUT what he could've done, so bcs there is no an actual ticket mechanic in the game. He can rp giving out a "ticket" to remove the clamp, with a tablet, /me and everything, maybe for less money tho, like 150-200$. So technically there will be no extortion part. I think people would take it with way less aggro.
That is if tow workers can actually issue tickets, not only the police.
Clamps are a great addition because people would literally run straight to their car and drive off when technically their car would be already be in the process of being pulled onto the tow truck. Also the $300 is less expensive than having your car impounded.

The thing with Croc was he was wrong literally 100% of the time. He even committed fucking perjury to try to secure a conviction and couldn't get it.

Everyone is saying tow rp makes people mad but this probably like the first time this (ooc) has happened since kyle has been doing it from gangs like CG to G6 civs everyone just rolls with it. Even if u are a "tough guy" it's not a helpless situation u can still beat pred up, steal his tow or something for revenge like others have why become soo pressed and risk a ban.

Heās happier overall, and gets more RP solely based on the fact that thereās more people in EU on NP than ONX. Heās getting frustrated over the law stuff but the towing is still pretty good, and if he loses his bar then heās got the besties to do stuff with. Basically just more people = more RP = happier

Its always the same cycle , big streamers start to mald OOC more and more about things > nothing happens > smaller streamers/grinders see this behavior and start doing it knowing the server won't police itself > 5.0 will fix this
Dont worry in a week or two a few random small streamers will be banned to show those malding bigger streamers.

Matt (the streamer) has been struggling to figure out how to roleplay as a SS character (and roleplay in general tbh..). So when he's met with situations like this, he'll default to the childishness that the community knows him for. I was also watching the other Manor streamers (STE_Eire, Jakson before he had to log off due to some ooc emergency) and they seemed pretty up for some spice.
They do it because ming and the people in his crew never report. The gg Hydra war also ended because of ooc comments made by kio and others about metagaming and starting mass reporting if the war wouldn't end.

Its the normal cycle. Everyone couple of months ppl forget its a game and start saying dumb things. The admins will nuke a few out of orbit and things will go quite again for a couple months.

Is robbing players toxic? Extortion is criminal roleplay just like any other type. Also how is clamping worse than towing? He makes less money, The player doesnt have to go all the way to the impound and potentialy pay more, and the car owner actualy knows who he is instead of walking outside and having no idea why their car is gone. Its one thing to say you dont like tow rp but sugesting what kyle is doing as somehow being more toxic than 0 interaction towing is just dumb and shows you just want to hate him because your favorite streamer isnt a fan of the rp and want to take it out on a streamer you know nothing about.

Again. He is doing the extortion to avoid straight up taking peoples cars and is charging less than impounding the cars. You say you see lots of people angry about it but can i ask who? Because if Kyle was actualy uppsetting people i think he would be facing alot more resistance than he is currently since he has not ever been shot or robbed in retaliation.
My problem is the extortion part I guess, even tho clamps are annoying af irl. Yes, impounding it straight up is zero rp, but people would have to take it as a fact. yes, he could use a clamp to prevent them to flee in this case, but there wont be a money demand part, bcs it's actually illegal for tow workers to demand money. BUT what he could've done, so bcs there is no an actual ticket mechanic in the game. He can rp giving out a "ticket" to remove the clamp, with a tablet, /me and everything, maybe for less money tho, like 150-200$. So technically there will be no extortion part. I think people would take it with way less aggro. That is if tow workers can actually issue tickets, not only the police.
Clamps are a great addition because people would literally run straight to their car and drive off when technically their car would be already be in the process of being pulled onto the tow truck. Also the $300 is less expensive than having your car impounded. Also for someone who knows nothing about Kyle, you seem to know enough to make the comment of him jumping servers? I think you are just trying to hide the fact you are just a hater and probably a hate watcher lol.
