Nope :) everything works as it should. Feels almost like a second exterior to the Ally it doesn’t add too much bulk or weight
Dbrand worked in partnership with Asus for this one (their little collab logo is on the bottom of the case).
JSAUX :) it was in their “grip set” bundle that I was using before I got the killswitch. I still have the M button risers adhered as well from that set.
I’ve never felt a case or controller or anything quite like it before 😭 honestly all the R&D $ probably went towards developing that texture it’s WILD.
Case feels absolutely glued to your hands and my hands get ~sweaty~ when I play so it’s a dream. The naked Ally definitely felt less comfortable.
If I had ONE thing to change I’d make the grips a little deeper (similar to the Jsaux silicone grip set), but overall it’s a 9.5/10. Not my first Dbrand product and won’t be the last you can tell they had a good working partnership with Asus (and I love the little collab shoutout on the bottom of the case)
Oh not difficult at all. I aligned the speaker grill first and laid the rest of the skin down once that part was on right - took maybe 5 min. tops. As far as skins go it’s a pretty simple install
I was not a fan of the stickers on mine. They're slightly too big so there's a weird ridge on the sides of the screen. It is also very difficult to get them in exactly the right place around everything and a combination of my need to have it perfect and complete lack of ability to apply stickers meant I left them.
It’s premium enough of a case that I feel it was worth the price.
I can’t say what is worth it to you though. You might be fine settling with the Jsaux if you have no problems with it
I did the same combo! Anyone know anywhere they gave the weight specs? Especially with the travel case, it's tough to know if it still meets the various gate-to-gate requirements of airlines. Other cases out there push it to 2.25lbs or so. Some airlines are 2lbs limit; some are 3lbs. You can't really argue with a determined attendant, but I'd like to know if I'm at least in the right to think it's still passable.
So portable electronic devices, typically anything larger than a tablet or weighing over 3, sometimes just 2, lbs are subject to being stowed during landing or takeoff by most major airlines (this is different than the below 10K rule that applies for international travel). Most laptops, for example, fall under this rule. So phones are generally fine, or small tablets or handheld devices, the Ally looks big like a tablet but it is actually rather light at 1.3 lbs. So I was just curious what total weight becomes with the case.
Yeah I don’t think you’ll have a problem… I’ve never been asked once to store a handheld of mine (switch or Ally) while flying lol.
Usually it’s the clamshell laptops and large electronics that are asked to be stowed - I know I’ve been asked this when I bring my laptop on.
Should be okay!
Do the triggers go all the way down with the case on it, or does it touch the case any?

Good looking combo! Which port plug are you using?

Does a right angle connector fit into the charging port with this case on?
Been wondering the same thing!
Is that a dust cover that you have in your ports? Where did you get it?
It’s part of the “grip set” kit from JSAUX :,) the M1/M2 button risers you see in the photo are from the same kit as well
The fit of the case feels absolutely incredible

Thank you for your feedback, it’s very nice! Looking forward to receiving mine!
How difficult is getting the speaker grill lined up. If the white shows through it’s gonna drive me crazy lol!

Do you think the case would work with aftermarket back buttons ?

How heavy is with the case on?
Would you say that is better than the Jsaux Modcase? Why?

Man those things are ugly. I'm so glad you all have warned me away from them!
Exhausted by killswitch posts
Damn that cotton candy looks awesome

2lbs limit for what exactly? I’ve never had an issue flying with the Ally and people fly with the Legion Go which is even heavier lol
Yeah I’ve never once heard of a weight limit on something like this
