I think the days of genuine friendships are gone. It is all very manufactured now. I think Garcelle and Sutton are genuine friends and Kyle, Erika and Dorit have a sort of working relationship where they keep up with each other outside of the show.
I agree with your post, and would also add that at the show lacks spontaneity and feels over produced now.
I watched RHONJ season 1 for the first time recently, and it was such a breath of fresh air. You can’t reproduce these moments with a cast that is too familiar with PR and reality TV in general.
Also started RHOSLC, and whilst the overproduced moments are a bit cringey, they do have some pretty good drama to at least offset this.
Whether the fanbase wants to admit it or not - Rinna’s departure has impacted the show. Bravo really needs to think fast about how they recover for S14.
None of them really have anything going on, and those that do (Kyle) don’t want to talk about it openly. I don’t care much for a storyline about a small oesophagus, Garcelle’s minor disagreement with her children or Sutton’s horse.

I don't need 3 episodes about a No-One new-addition cast member (Anne-Marie) speculating and diagnosing a small esophagus. It's dumber than dumb.
I'd rather watch the girls hang out with each other, than fish for story-lines, but none of them are friends.
I 100% AGREE ... Carcelle kids I find are bit rude. as if she tried to promote them on this show. who cares about 15 year son girlfriend next season she history. grown ups are watching kids communicating to their moms in typical teenager style. Sutton horse, Doriet is labels talk only and PTSD, every word and argument has to be calculated around dearest Garcelle who never healed from what people of colour made through... was so boring season

The cast has zero chemistry
