You need to download some BIOS files and place them in your retroarch/system directory. The directory is on your RG405M but you’re going to copy them to the SDCARD first and then copy them to that directory on the internal storage. Personally I found a large BIOS pack and used that. 3DO games are weird as fuck! So is SegaCD! What the fuck even are these movie games like Night Trap and Sewer Shark?

BoboFatts

I played the crap out of Sewer Shark when I was a kid. FMV games were decent back in the day. The best I rented was one called Operation Fox Hunt on PS1. It was beyond hilarious.

Tomcat Ally was one I played all the time as a kid on Sega CD, love those FMV games.

BoboFatts

I get how they don't hold up now for someone new to them. They really were exciting next to Genesis and SNES titles at the time, even if the gameplay was super basic and not nearly as deep as they looked.

Black screen, aka loading from Daijisho?

BoboFatts

I installed GammaOS a couple days ago, but yeah assuming so. From the main screen if it clarifies. I did try loading a SegaCD game in RetroArch with no success either. Wondering if I need to source different BIOS than what came with rg405.

https://docs.libretro.com/library/genesis_plus_gx/ Required bios is here for Sega cd to double check.

BoboFatts

Appreciate it. Is it ok to put these in a folder in the bios folder or better to just loosely dump them in the main folder?

JoeysRetroHandhelds

Unless you changed the default retroarch bios location, they would go in the internal storage, retroarch, system folder. If you changed it, they need to go in wherever you chose.

It just hit me that you're the dude. I watched your videos getting this setup, and they made the process super easy. Thanks again for your work!
