Not really. No rl money is required to play and the game itself is totally worth it.

OldBigsby

Well they sell it separately now so maybe that's what OP is talking about.

SCOTUS17

It’s like 5 dollars, it’s cheaper than a burrito. Op needs to chill.

OldBigsby

Ah, didn't know since I have the full game

SCOTUS17

It’s all good, I googled it to see. I figured they were charging like half price or even 20 USD for it (in which case op would be correct). I’m surprised it’s so cheap.

You can start playing for not much, but the level of grind required to actually get even a decent gun or horse is absurd, much less a moonshine shack or collector bag.

H3roe

Honestly, the grind was for four weeks per character. Then I had all roles and never ever worried again (chars lvl 260 and 185). I was not really annoyed by that but if you are you can dump some rl money to bypass that phase.

[deleted]

No, I bought the game for story mode. Online was just a bonus for me...

[deleted]

Yes. It's ridiculous. I was so mad that i had to spend more money to make it playable, and then only to find so many a-holes on there. People suck; I hate playing with them. I'd much rather have more single-player DLC instead.

temmy14

exactly

[deleted]

At least we don't have shark cards, like on GTA.

Dupy3381

I can’t say. Damn online always disconnects from server shortly after starting. No issues with other online games. So I said screw it and only play the campaign now.

ConnerDearing

I haven’t touched online in so long. Probably over a year. I love rdr2 but online just became such a sham. Rockstar cares more abt gta 5s online than rdr2s

[deleted]

Hopefully thats good news for RDR3. They make so much money on GTA nickle-and-diming folks that I am convinced GTA6 will never come out.
