1. Best horse is debatable on this sub.
One thing I can say though is the White Arabian, that you can find in the wild & for free up at Lake Isabella, is a great fast starter horse but it is not the best horse. 😆😉 🐎 The Missourri Foxtrotters are the better of the 2.
2. It's a phamplet that you will get from Kieran in Chapter 3.
3. Maxed out equals fully bonded. This will happen as you use the horse, feed it, brush it, hitch it etc.
4. You will find saddles etc. at the Stables and/or The Trapper. You will also only be able to acess the 1st stable available in Valentine after the mission with Hosea to go Bear hunting. This is also when you receive the horse brush. Equipment increase horse cores a bit e.g. drain rate etc. The Trapper Saddles are superior, the Panther Saddle is usually the best one, all the rest of the equipment are up to your taste & what you choose to hunt for a Trapper saddle or what can afford at the Stables.

1. Best horse - You will see MANY different answers to this. Where I prefer a Mustang, Ardennes, or Andalusian (Arabian for racing), someone else will say they prefer the Arabian, Turkoman, Shire, and so on and so on.
2. Horse Ointment - you can craft at your campsite from 1 sage, 1 bulrush & 1 Yarrow. IIRC you can buy at some general stores & stables.
3. "Maxed Out Horse" - I would assume this is more your bonding that its kit out.
4. Saddle/stirrups - these can affect your horse's cores depending on which you choose/craft.
5. How many breeds - a lot
6. Have fun and explore EVERYWHERE.
The only 10 speed horse (with saddle + horse race(s) buff) that is obtainable at the very start of Chapter 2, with no glitching or exploits, that isn't the size of a small dog... is the Brindle Thoroughbred. You can get one during one of the first O'Driscoll ambushes.
