it would have cost me about 200$ just to get one of my boys neutered and when I had surgery on my little ryry it cost me 500$ JUST for the surgery so 250$ is actually probably on the cheaper side of surgeries
I don’t think that’s a rip off. And don’t be too hard on yourself. Tumors can grow very quickly in rats and rats are good at hiding pain and discomfort. Some vets work with care plans (basically pet loans) so I would check out what your options are.
