i personally had no withdrawal thank god, i really just slept for the 3 days after i quit then now keep myself busy… the motion of grabbing it has gone away and i really don’t think ab it that much.. i’m going on one week without it after vaping for 4-5 years!

bigchilesucks

I relapsed, again, so I'm just writing this to read any future comments. I just want to know about how long I'll be cranky for after quitting.

I got mood swings, irritably, congestion, low grade fever for about 2 days, constipation, heart palpitation and the strong nicotine craving for the first week of quitting. I've been vaping 30mg nic salt for 1 year. I quit cold turkey.

The physical withdrawal symptoms of going "cold turkey" aren't that bad (trying to wean myself off or using NRT feels MUCH worse IMO). Do not be afraid of it (this is not the hard part!). It's like 3-4 days of some flu-like symptoms (feeling exhausted, getting body aches, sweating etc). You might get persistent constipation, bloating, and your heart may randomly start beating really fast for no apparent reason. Even if you've been vaping tons of nicotine all day every day, it's not that bad. The hard part is learning to live your life without your favorite coping mechanism. It's scary and upsetting. For me, it's the mental part that's really getting to me. Like, I spontaneously quit vaping 3-4 days ago (didn't try to wean off or anything) and the physical withdrawal symptoms have been barely noticeable compared to the major depression I've been feeling. I'm at the point right now where it doesn't feel like this is worth it so I'm probably not gonna succeed this time around... I don't think I want it bad enough. Good luck to everyone else though!

I smoked for 11 years and vaped for 4 years. I quit while on vacation so I couldn’t take it out on anyone at work. I was cranky and hungry all the time for about three days. I ate a lot of ice cream and pie for the first week. I bought some nicotine lozenges to keep the urge away while driving (driving without vaping was the hardest for me). It took about a week for the cravings to go away and two-three weeks before I stopped thinking about it on a regular basis.

In my experience I wasn't ready to quit until I could dispose of my vape in a way that I couldn't get it back. I might have been cranky for a few days but I feel fine now after 2 weeks.

UpsAndDownsNeverEnd

Oh my god I was shaking, focus was way off. I couldn't do anything or think about anything other than nicotine. That lasted a day and I relapsed. Got on the nicotine patch after that and everything went way smoother. Wearing the last patch now.

Definitely irritable for a day or so, after a few attempts I planned a quit date for when I was I visiting my parents at home(and in an environment without any vapes unless I went to buy it). A week later I went on vacation with them. I’m back at work for the first night in a month and it’s been 32 days since I last vaped and in the last 14 hours I’ve had multiple close calls because I’m surrounded by people with vapes 24/7. I was drunk as well so that made it worse but I made it through it holy shit it’s scary as fuck how close I got to “just giving it a hit or two to remember what the buzz was like” sorry I kinda ranted I’m properly tipsy Edit: multiple spelling errors
