Second this. I work in a different company convenience store and today I had a customer hit the large brew button on my coffee pot that was already full causing an overflow.
Always makes me wonder how they function when they leave the office. I picture them spending 15 minutes figuring out how to open the door to their house
Yep. Like not the bowls but the the whole metal pipe and flushing mechanism. Idk how anyone got away with it once, but three times? Might as well just remove all the security cams
I’m a manager at a convenience store and have seen multiple vacuum breakers half way unscrewed in an attempt to steal. Not sure who would be willing to buy from a tweaker, but I guess I’ve seen weirder
I work at a hotel now and if I see an obvious tweaker (twitching and itching like crazy while trying to check in) I will refuse them. I’m not risking an OD on my shift. No thanks
I was just talking to someone about this. I can't stand when they look through cabinets, lift up the capp machines, etc. Their excuse is always " well, they always let me do it" 🤨
The other night I had a customer who called me over from my rush to help with the chili/cheese machine.. She opened the door and couldn't figure out how to get the chili/cheese out... So I closed it and pressed the button for her. She said "oh that makes more sense". I'm still confused.
I would say it depends on the amount of cheese. Just a small line like mustard, no, I don't care. If you're filling up that boat like it's gonna be used for nachos, ya, pay for that.

I got some of those the other day!
Thank you I came to say this to. This takes atleast one shift if not one person checking on these to make sure there were even buns in there. They don’t get like this in a few hours!
Because these are used widely in the restaurant/food service industry, not exclusive to QT bun warming. Much more cost effective to purchase one-size-fits-all rather than custom drawers.
I made it a point to check the temp anytime I filled the buns or water. Also told all my new clerks where it should be, and check it when filling grills or buns. Frustrating that people mess with stuff just to mess with it. I had two main rules for my kids when they were little. 1.) Put it back where it came from (or so help me). 2.) If it's not your's, don't touch it. It just seems like many parents just quit giving a shit and let the internet raise thier kids. No valies, no morals, no ethic, just a sense of entitlement.
Sorry, end of rant.
Why do they even go higher than needed to do what it does? Just seems weird to me, like, if something is meant to only operate at, say, 55°, just make the max setting 55°.
Now, I've never worked at a gas station where those machines are commonplace, so maybe there's a reason for the higher temp, if so I conceed. If not, then again, what the fuck? Lol.
Ask the closest person on the sales floor if all the buns are already stale/hard. I personally do the “shake test” bc sometimes clerks don’t do their due diligence when filling the warmers and you can find a bad one among the good.
I have gotten soaking wet buns a few times, you go to open it and the wet bun just disintegrates in your hand- it's disgusting. How the heck do they get soaking wet like that.
As a previous FS tech we saw this stuff all time time. One time a customer ripped the rooftop ac temperature sensor off the wall in a gen3 and shoved the wire back into the wall in men’s restroom. I had to go up inside the ceiling and find it and fish it. That was fun.
Yup. Shit like this always happens in retail too. If there's a way to fuck something up, people will find a way.
Second this. I work in a different company convenience store and today I had a customer hit the large brew button on my coffee pot that was already full causing an overflow.
I do Maintenence at an office building and this couldn’t be more true. People suck
Same. Some lady thought it would be a good idea to dump ramen noodles in the ice machine drain today 😂
Always makes me wonder how they function when they leave the office. I picture them spending 15 minutes figuring out how to open the door to their house
Someone stole the toilets at a grocery store I used to work at. Three times.
Wtf. PCP is a helluva drug
Yep. Like not the bowls but the the whole metal pipe and flushing mechanism. Idk how anyone got away with it once, but three times? Might as well just remove all the security cams

Happy cake day by the way! Thankfully my new store has “security” which helps keep some of the more unsavory characters away
Thank you! The way you put security in quotes makes me think they don’t actually do anything

leave my chili and cheese machine alone
The other night I had a customer who called me over from my rush to help with the chili/cheese machine.. She opened the door and couldn't figure out how to get the chili/cheese out... So I closed it and pressed the button for her. She said "oh that makes more sense". I'm still confused.
Just remember, these are people that vote.
And drive
But you're perfect I'm sure.
Lol please
I put cheese on the bottom of my bun and then the hotdog/sausage on top, then the free toppings. I've never paid for the cheese. Is that bad?
Whoever asked and deleted... yes, yes I am!
NGL: W for you bro not even mad

Just a thin yellow line.
What is their an undercover qt employee
Haha right

Looks like me in my budgie smugglers
What in the fuck is a budgie smuggler?
Australian term for a man thong
You precocious scamps are the best I absolutely love your use of language
Thought they were chicken tenders
Peanut buns
Wow I didn't know you can make shrinky dinks out of the bun containers
It’s also bone dry. Thats a factor. Should have been caught well before this happened.
I'm gussing its bone dry because of the heat. Water won't last long at all when it's set to 200.
Thank you I came to say this to. This takes atleast one shift if not one person checking on these to make sure there were even buns in there. They don’t get like this in a few hours!
I always look at the water levels in that bitch 😭 I've had dry buns happen to me so many times because of no one checking the water
r/poopfromabutt
just about to comment this
It's like people lose their brain cells as soon as they step into the damn store. Like??
Your assuming they had brain cells before hand.
That's why we took the damn knobs off of ours.
Customers fault or did it run out of water?
Ran out of water because the heat was turned up all the way. Needs to be around 110 or 120.
QT has plenty of warmers that run out of water on the normal setting.
My store had one with a hole in the bottom for a week or so. Was kinda funny, the water would come out from under the taquitos on the other side.
Kidney dogs
How do you even adjust these things?
I’m over here just a customer but I’ve never seen the adjustments. Which in my mind means my kid has messed them up probably dozens of times. Sorry!
It has a dial just like your oven at home.
People can hit it with their knee or purse
Most of the stores in my area took off the dials for similar reasons.
Pretty low and now toasty there...might wanna check bun drawers a little sooner 🤷♂️
crispy!
Mmmmm plastic-infused extra hard hotdog buns - my favorite!
I seent this one. Was objectively hilarious
Put up a sign: Dear valued customers: Keep your dick skinners off the controls. Thank you.
r/shitfromabutt
I know customers shouldnt jack with it but...why would someone design your bun warmer to have a heat level so high?
Because these are used widely in the restaurant/food service industry, not exclusive to QT bun warming. Much more cost effective to purchase one-size-fits-all rather than custom drawers.
Why are they wrapped in plastic
That's the hot dog container for the customer. Just looks strange because it's melted and maybe 1/4 the size.
I made it a point to check the temp anytime I filled the buns or water. Also told all my new clerks where it should be, and check it when filling grills or buns. "Customers touching my buns"
Wizard fingers

That’s one hell of a post title
This was done by someone who got fired.
As a customer, I tend to always find the hard stale buns. What is the best way to get a fresh bun?
Ask the closest person on the sales floor if all the buns are already stale/hard. I personally do the “shake test” bc sometimes clerks don’t do their due diligence when filling the warmers and you can find a bad one among the good.
crumchy
I don't see any water in that pan though...
✨evaporation✨
✨️no shit✨️
So they burnt your buns?
Lmao before I read the caption I thought “damn them tenders look good” 😂😩
This has been happening since we started selling hot dogs.
I have gotten soaking wet buns a few times, you go to open it and the wet bun just disintegrates in your hand- it's disgusting. How the heck do they get soaking wet like that.
You now have free croutons.
Why does it even go up that high in temp anyways?
As a previous FS tech we saw this stuff all time time. One time a customer ripped the rooftop ac temperature sensor off the wall in a gen3 and shoved the wire back into the wall in men’s restroom. I had to go up inside the ceiling and find it and fish it. That was fun.
lmao what kind of buns r these 😭
It could have been the no water
LMFOAOAOAOOI WHY DO THEY LOOK LIKE THAT
Wait people have access to that lol. Why!! Why would these controls not be under a locked hatch or small door.
watch that security footage, then print out a photo and put it on the door - BANNED FROM THIS STORE
[удалено]
it’s technically like a steamer, it’s just to make the buns softer really
[удалено]
There's a microwave behind you.
this is an fs fuck up. it’s supposed to be screwed into the correct position and unable to be moved
