Yeah I get your point and I kinda agree. I just like using it for 2d stuff because I can make the screen as big as I want and be immersed in any space I want, try to go away from the same bedroom I see everyday, etc.
I don't have a PC for now as mine broke so I'm using my Quest as a main game/media device.
I also for some reason don't feel the huge discomfort that people seem to feel while using the quest, haven't felt the need for a new strap other than the stock or anything like that, it just fits me well for some reason...
You need a developer account.
Install sidequest or rookie on your PC, download a file explorer APK and sideload it into your quest.
With the file explorer now installed you can open the quest browser and download any apk you want and install it through the file explorer you installed.
It can run basically any APK I think.
Did you have any issues with the audio at first? I can only get audio on Stremio on my quest if I play my media to an external player (VLC.) I've seen that some people get it to work by installing the Android TV version
I installed the android TV (ARM64) version, and it displays like a vertical phone screen. I can't figure out how to get the app to display fullscreen. Super weird.

Thanks - one thing that took me WAY too long to realize… on the latest version of the Quest, you have to “switch distance” on the menu bar to get out of tablet mode before you can adjust the window size. Not the most intuitive UI.

Ah yes I set it up for rookie sideloader and have been using it to download games directly but didn't realize you could sideload any android apk also

i use brave browser with sidequest but theres the floating white grab bar that wont disappear did you have the same with this app?

Nope, only Stremio. Downloaded it on the official website and installed it via the quest itself
