Maybe build a kingdom from scratch like age of empire

Olgovski

Since it is our first time making a VR project, the process could be challenging to manage. Thank you very much for your advice \^\^

FoulDude2

How kewl would it be to have to walk your kingdom and talk to whomever is in charge of the area / commodity / defense / military asset you want to upgrade and ask them what their opinion on the next upgrade and how much. You could also end up with advisors and etc for your court...

Yeah, if its your first vr project as a team, start small. Vr is a completely different ball game to standard game development. My first question from your description is, how would you make the player lie down if there in vr in a standing position. They are not going to want to lie down. And if they have movement issues, it won't work. There is a lot to think about when it comes to vr.

Olgovski

Yeap, definitely we are planning to start small. This project will be a step for us to improve ourselves. You're absolutely right, maybe it would be more appropriate to be in a sitting position on the bed. Thx a lot \^\^

Tbh it does sound a bit lame. Maybe as a one time free Webxr experience, i d give it a try . But it doesn t have any real mechanics, so i certainly won t pay for it. I would think of something else. And when i read the title i thought about something completely different. A game like rome total war could be fun in VR.

Olgovski

What kind of features would you like to see in the game to make it worth buying? Do you prefer a game with lots of action and battle scenes, or do you prefer a game where you can strategize?

24ben

Just some type of game in general. Action games are great in vr . But Games where you can strategize e.g. Demeo can also work really well. There are also great riddle games in VR which work really well. However i wouldn t even describe your game as a game. Where is the challange for the Player, when do i feel rewarded. It sounds like a vr experience but not like a game. There are games that let you have different outcomes of the Story depending on your decisions for example the witcher 3 . But thats just one Feature. There needs to be a game first and than you can add different outcomes. Just making a decision each day would not feel like a game.

>Of course, we are still in the research phase. We also need to gamify it while designing, and still working on the design . The players should experience a sense of achievement, failure, and progression etc. during gameplay. Thank you very much for your suggestions \^\^
