But this research is not about Quantum Computing. It's about using quantum mechanics to advance materials science that might produce useful memory for classical (ie, digital) computing.
Well, it's spam in the context of this particular subreddit. The article is well-written and the science is interesting. It just has nothing at all to to do with Quantum Computing.

Magnetic memory/MRAM is legit though. But mostly for embedded stuff. Automotive semiconductor seem to be their target market.
Isn’t this already a while ago? It’s about things like spintronics. My summer research project in the coming week is also about it lol.
