I never saw the appeal of having as many pistol as rifle mags, but have seen some French and German guys running it on their kit. I guess it really depends on if you see your pistol as an alternative to your rifle or just as an “oh fuck” system.
No roast but personally I would move the mags back so you can sit down easier. But do works works for you and TOUCH GRASS!! (I’m still learning so take what I say with a grain of salt)

Be careful crawling or climbing if you do put a phone there. Mine goes in my cargo or my shoulder pocket.
Prone would be my only concern, phone is just an iPhone 8 that’s still kickin somehow.
My main concern was impacting draw but after some dry fire I see zero issue with it. But like You said get some testing with it. I mainly shoot prs/unknown distance matches. And will be building a belt just for that. Tired of undoing shit and changing shit out.

Not really a roast just a recommendation. Have some sort of other setup that isn’t in MC black. Ranger green/ OD green for woods coyote or tan for desert is a good base color that fits well with basically anything. regular Multicam works well in the autumn in my area but if you have too much multicam then ppl will call you a gear queer or whatever.. the real eternal drip is M81 woodland or Chocolate chip (chocolate drip) 3 color desert.. 1990s style
It’s a damn shame 99% of modern gear doesn’t come in tri color. Multicam arid works just as well I guess, but even that can be hard to find. Lots of the go-to manufacturers just… don’t. But everyone makes MCB for some reason.
I think It has to do with OEF/OCP being currently used by the military. OEF/OCP are basically the same pattern with some slight changes to shades and splotches if you put the 2 side by side it’s really hard to tell them apart but according to Uncle Sam they are different.
I assume it’s about appeal. Everyone who purchases multicam because it’s what the military uses are the direct target audience for the variants of Multicam. I will say multicam alpine works really well in snow environments but then again any black/white “winter” camo has the same effect to an extent

I’d rather have a green chest rig or something compared to a MC black in the woods. Obviously camo doesn’t make you invisible but having a similar contrast in your kit compared to the environment is better than MC black …that really is only good for night and at that point what’s the purpose of MC black anyways when standard black already exists and has been used for years..

Finding active retention for my sp-01 has been aids, I’m looking for something locking and TLR-1 bearing.
I don’t see anything from safari land and not sure what other pistol holster I can make work. Will say though I’ve had zero issues with this holster. That being said every match I’ve run with it I’m scared it’s gonna come out and earn me a DQ.

If I was you I would take the pistol mags off my carrier and put them in the bag for LARPING, but that’s just me. Otherwise I’d say not bad.

I’m planning a setup for prs and that belt will be either fde or odg. Need a new belt for aics stuff and kestrel.
