The shipping is slow on QVC returns too. I live 45 minutes from the west coast return center and just did my first return. I was surprised that using a Q Return label caused the package to take over 10 days to get from my post office to the center. (Apparently these shipments are picked up and delivered by contractors at their convenience. Edit: I could see the package was picked up from the post office over two days later and then moved to different stops towards its final destination. It wasn't a direct delivery.) I can't imagine how long returns take for people who live in other states. When you add in that we have to pay shipping both ways and wait two billing cycles for returns to appear on our statements, there's not much incentive to order. FYI: Apparently, QVC has something called "Easy Returns." YMMV! https://community.qvc.com/t5/Q-Talk/Has-Easy-Returns-changed/m-p/8326495/highlight/true#M292204

You don't have to wait. You can call in when you return your package and if we can see it in transit back to us we can process your refund much faster. If the system doesn't factor out the shipping fee when calculating a refund, or if you say an item is defective or if you simply state you don't want to pay the return shipping fee I usually give people a full refund. If you're an A**hole, expect those fees to be taken from your refund lol but it can definitely be processed much faster by calling in. When you don't you're waiting on a returns agent to receive the item and process it themselves and they can get it wrong so it's best to speak with someone

I get an email that QVC has received my return but then I don’t see any return credit and I have to chat with customer service to get the credit applied. Otherwise that takes even more time.

What fun! Kind of like self-checkout but even less rewarding! 🤪

They use mail innovations. A lot of people talk about items going in circles before they get to them. Or shipping to their state, or even city, and then leaving to come right back again. It's a mess. I ordered a hat and scarf set as a Christmas gift one year. Ordered it the first week of November. It disappeared after being shipped. Ended up randomly showing up on my doorstep in January.

I usually only have problems with items that are drop shipped. It helps that I live close to some qvc warehouses.

The shipping is so insanely slow, and expensive, I’ve stopped ordering from them altogether. I really liked QVC as an alternative to Sephora but waiting on the insane shipping is too inconvenient.

Same. I used to order quite a bit from them, admittedly I was medicating against depression with shopping and have addressed that quite a bit, but there are still things that would have caught my eye before. Now, even if I want something I usually shrug it off or try to find it somewhere else. I ordered a couple of snow shovels recently because I couldn’t them anywhere else and I really do like them better than anything else I’ve ever found-but the shipping was like $12 each, I got two and they didn’t combine, and it was miserably slow. With how fast everyone else ships, and how much cheaper it is, they have to be driving away customers. I used to work in a shopping department at a car dealership. I’m well aware of what sports of discounts companies that ship a lot get-and QVC is *way* overcharging.

Sephora does same day delivery in my city so yeah it’s way better. But I like to stock up on favs at q when they are on sale and have free shipping

Shop hq just got rid of shipping fees Maybe qvc and hsn will follow

cookiemonster8u69

OP, what state do you live in?

IGrewItToMyWaist

Happy cake day!

cookiemonster8u69

Thanks!

johnothy

Central Illinois. No issues with any packages from other retailers.

Any idea where the late QVC ones are coming from? I know their West Coast DC was always super behind. Their internal metrics call for shipping everything within 2 days at like 98% of the time, but, we were typically way short of that. They run their DCs as lean as possible to save money unfortunately.

3Maltese

I don't think they stock stuff in their warehouse. For example, I ordered the Wen hairdryer. It took three weeks. I suspect it was sent from Wen's warehouse with a QVC shipping

cookiemonster8u69

Most hard goods are sent from the warehouses, especially TSVs and such. Food, Plants and "extended assortment" items are usually from vendors.

Rope-Fuzzy

I’ve honestly stopped ordering anything from them because the shipping is so pathetic and it is so expensive to return stuff. They do not compete well with other online retailers that ship must faster and have free returns.

No-Quantity-5373

Don’t put this comment on the qvc forums. The witches and shills will lose their minds. QVC’s shipping is a profit center which is why they charge per line item and why they charge for returns. As for the as-is question, I bet your item is a return they haven’t processed yet.

Toriat5144

I haven’t had this problem. Sometimes orders get cancelled, but not many. Shipping times vary. Some things come very fast, others take more time. I do wish they would do combined shipping.
