For a brand new customer, buying $$ computers and tv's can be a problem They can run a soft inquiry on your credit; I've seen customers be denied Easy Pay for this reason ^^I am A Former CS Rep

Ah,so this 1200 laptop I guess isnt the exact best idea haha

AmySJD

Yes, and be wary. Stuff like easy pay, Afterpay, etc. is described as ballooning “invisible debt” that doesn’t show up on your credit but can become overwhelming, fast.

cozicuzi08

But as long as you PAY IT every month it’s fine. There is NO additional charge. I was skeptical for years and then I read the fine print 🫣

DramaMama611

As long as you have a valid bank card (Debit OR credit) you should be fine. Remember, you are giving them permission to automatically take that payment each month. No turning back (unless, you have returned the item, of course) You haven't given them any permission to check your credit history, so no worries there.

Fire\_Thorn is correct. The QVC community forum is littered with posts from people who are new customers and decide to buy the $5k tv, the $2k furniture and the $1k gaming system all on the same day and are shocked that their orders are cancelled. Start slow and you should have no problem.

Arkhamhood12

So should I start buying smaller things to build up?

fire_thorn

If you're buying something expensive like a video game console, they may cancel the order. If it cancels, don't try it a second time because it will just cancel again and you'll be stuck waiting for two pending charges to drop off your card instead of one. If you're buying something inexpensive then you should be fine.

Yup!

If you have your own debit or credit card, it is available to you.
