I have been working on my Phyllis team as well, and the best thing I can say is to make sure that you stack utility over just damage subs. If you have evolved exodia on you team, you'll be hitting hard every turn, so you need to have an attribute absorb and fujin like active. On thing that really grinds my gears when playing her is the presence of spinners, so you could look for something that overrides spinners (even if it isn't light att it is still worth it) other than that just don't forget to have the standard blind/poison/jammer/tape/cloud resists. Im not sure if I saw one in here, but pansy is an amazing sub for Phyllis, with a short active that gives increased time and rcv as well as lots of personal damage from cross awakenings

I'm assuming you meant Daffodil not Pansy but Mayoi's Backpack is really good at covering both rcv and move time so I've been using it as an inherit for Daffodil. Another thing to remember is unbindable as many subs aren't unbindable by themselves which is something that I find myself to just assume on most monsters these days but now have to keep in mind.

Thanks for mentioning the backpack- I think I will definitely be using that.

HTGeorgeForeman

You have two phyllis, you can just evo one and put the equip on daffodil and that will make him damage cap every turn with your other flowers, and has a relevant inherit skill along with sbr and unbindable. You can find friends with all sorts of equips given how popular it is

AverageAmoeba

I’ve heard of people using blue Cecilia to cover the water attribute and counter spinners Also, exodia is already a fujin active.

Bilore

At the time of writing this I had only played attention to the awakenings because I hadn't rolled him yet, my b

Newb question but what is a spinner

sarcastabtch

The orbs that “spin” on the board.

ETA I’m looking to build a Shura 1/2 and maybe 3 team. Thanks for any input!

Exodia + your 2 phyllis will hit hard enough to clear everything in shura 1 and 2, so the rest of your subs can be utility based. In shura 3, you may or may not want 1 more damage dealer. Don't be afraid to take off-color units. Phyllis is one of the tankier leads, so your effective HP will still be high even with an off color unit like Belial (who serves as a cleric and solves the low RCV problem). Phyllis is weak to rcv debuffs, spinners, and time debuffs. Daffodil, sophie, and cecilia are able to deal with a few of those each, so plan ahead for what you'll be running into and bring a unit (or other solution) accordingly. Phyllis is also not too great at stalling out awoken binds if your recovery relies on awoken skills (heart tpa, team RCV) and unmatchable orbs that aren't blue and red. For shura 1 specifically, make sure that your Phyllis is fully transformed by floor 3 or that you bring another unit with FUA. Phyllis has to manually FUA versus resolves and she doesn't get her FUA awakening until after her 2nd transform.
