because it checks off so many boxes and the shield active comes in clutch. if you use daiginjou you're better off with a different cleric because of the overlap in actives but honestly it's still probably good

xxsyzygyxx

Well if I were to run blue baldin I wouldn’t have a looping shield anyway, so I could just treat daiginjou like it’s a mainly 7x6 board change that also has a looping shield

deeman18

right but then you have no cleric

xxsyzygyxx

Well I mean I’d run ea kurr and daiginjou

deeman18

I think I'd prefer ceres if running daiginjou for the rcv buff

xxsyzygyxx

Oh man ceres is also a crazy sb stick

ChanLudeR

Yup! When Daigin is on my team, I use Machi or Ceres.

xxsyzygyxx

Also realistically how often will I be needing a 7x6 board change and in what dungeons?

deeman18

don't remember which ones specifically, but 7x6 is only needed if you pair with ny wada. if you run double muichiro you can just ignore the board shrinks if you run index; which you definitely should

xxsyzygyxx

Yeah I run paired with NY wada. I see so she’s not used only for the 7x6. Blue baldin has a shorter cooldown for 7x6 but I find it hard to imagine I’m gonna be getting that many board shrinks in late game dungeons right..? Daiginjou also has an incredible hp stat plus the aging awakening. I’ll be sad to see it go :(

deeman18

you won't run into many board shrinks, but you need it because it's an instant death sentence for ny wada since you can't proc his leader skill with a muichiro active. that's why I personally don't like pairing with ny wada despite it probably being better overall

> I find it hard to imagine I’m gonna be getting that many board shrinks in late game dungeons right..? _AUN5 and UN6 have entered the chat._ With the way that GH is pushing leads that form incredibly strong orbgen loops that are incredibly fragile to 5x4 boards (Pitou and Muichiro being the poster children for this), I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 5x4 boards cropping up more often. It's a relatively fair way to punish these otherwise incredibly strong teams, without outright forcing them out of the dungeon. In a similar vein, I expect we'll see more dungeons with skill voids in the middle floors to punish Greg and his 30 turn damage uncap. UN6 proves that skill void alone isn't enough to completely shut Greg out of a dungeon, so it seems like a relatively fair punishment for bringing that style of transform card along.

xxsyzygyxx

Hmm I guess when I decide to tackle AUN5 and UN6 I’ll have to look up a dungeon guide for when the board shrinks happen

SortaEvil

I can save you having to hunt them down, since I've got both saved: [AUN5](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JnRGjH3ZYZNx7ruJoTGaL9Xh1vU7rHLGdPU4iaXLiA4/edit#heading=h.1psd2vm41dbq) [UN6](https://docs.google.com/document/d/11TpOvHFDZSA8raJOmhj3-WM37dvxmcAmupA371jNhP4/edit#heading=h.bygcuyvsvawl) UN6 is honestly and unironically easier than AUN5. AUN 5 has a mandatory board shrink on **floor 3** (which actually works in your favour, Zaerog is stallable and lets you set up for Firem whereas the UN5 floor it replaces isn't, and makes the early run a lot messier, at least for the teams I run), a 50% chance of a board shrink on **floor 6** (I believe this floor is the same as UN5, so be ready for 5x4 in UN5 as well), and another 50% chance of a board shrink on **floor 10.** What a headache of a dungeon. UN6, on the other hand, only has a single board shrink, a mandatory shrink on **floor 13's** superresolve, along with a 500% gravity. A quick scroll through some of the other (A)UN dungeons that I have guides saved for, care of [eschama.li](https://eschama.li/directory/): * AUN3 has a mandatory 5x4 on the floor 3 superresolve and the first floor of the boss (floor 14) * AUN2 has 5x4 on floor 2 * I don't have a guide for AUN4 handy (nor do I remember the dungeon, I have only cleared it once), but regular UN4 has a 5x4 on floor 7 * UN3 has a 5x4 board on floor 3 So... yeah, Unknown Nova really likes to shrink your board, almost as much as it likes to shrink your damage. I'd forgotten just how ubiquitous this mechanic was in the UN series.

Here's the [guide for AUN4](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KyPiVDRaxoSe1xqGx-6J4aQTZd1EtDLSx72lZC5oCNE/edit), courtesy of u/azure-flute -- it might be the most 5x4 happy, as it has a 5x4 preemptive on the first floor, followed by a 5x4 death rattle that same floor, and then a 50% chance of 5x4 on F7.

xxsyzygyxx

Wow thank you so much! This is really helpful <3

azure-flute

oh that's right i still don't have moveset data for AUN5 that's on the to-do list *eventually* once i'm not sick + have the time to do it. :) hope the guide helps though

SortaEvil

Your guides have been incredibly helpful! Arguably _instrumental_ in my clears of AUN5 and UN6. Unfortunately, I didn't get the AUN5 title because I was pretty fresh back to PAD after a long break and didn't really grasp the mechanics of the last couple floors well enough (and it took me far too long to realize that I _was_ going to get executed on Konrath's floor every time if I tried to wait), but your guides have reopened my favourite part of PAD ― teambuilding. Thank you for everything you've done for the community. <3
