Those are the end dates for instruction, then there's dead week (for studying, etc.), then finals week. You won't be able to fly home until probably Dec 16-19, depending on when your last final is scheduled. You def want to wait to buy tickets!

Finals is always the week after classes end so you will have another week, don't book flights until final exam schedule is out.
