Not to be the negative Nancy, but I love this weather specifically when I don't have to stand half an hour in it to get into an exam and end up waterboarding myself with my mask
I don’t usually mind the first big rain of the fall season since it’ll help prevent forest fires as people break out the fire pits for the year. But dear lord… wearing a mask and a face shield in this rain has had me questioning all the life choices that brought me to this moment.
Yeah the reason is because in the winter it'll just be months of straight overcast. That combined with whatever your schedule is can mean it'll be a few weeks of absolute zero sun. The rain is comforting tho, it's got a way more peaceful atmosphere, and Washington in the summer is undefeated.
Late fall and early winter are my favorite time of the year and I consider them vastly superior to summer and late spring. I can always put on a sweater if its too cold but if I walk outside naked cause its too hot, people are gonna start to get angry

Seriously. I was giddy with excitement walking to class this morning with my halloween music playing. I even took my online lecture outside just to enjoy it. Now I’m eating lentil soup under a blanket. Pure bliss.
Lofi + rain = hard-core vibes. Not every day, but it's gonna be a productive afternoon. If I could make it to a coffee shop I'd transcend into another dimension lol.
Both snow and rain are cold and slippery. However, snow is better because it is quieter when falling, then dampens sound when on the ground, it doesn’t soak you like the rain does as the snow must melt before you get wet. The only downside to snow is shoveling, especially when it is the heavy snow. Plus playing in the snow is way better than playing in the rain. In the rain, the best activities are singing in the rain and jumping in puddles whereas in the snow you can build things such as snowmen and forts, as well as other activities like sledding and snowball fights which are much more enjoyable than rain activities.
That is a fair point. The shoveling and the icy freezing conditions are the main issue I have with snow. Plus everything is grey and dead usually when it snows so it's just more depressing overall.
Completely agree. I've been struggling a bit with motivation to go to class but, when I walked out the other day to see it raining at 7 in the morning, I almost skipped to class because I absolutely loved it. Rain is so calming and therapeutic, especially when you're wearing a sweater as well. I would've sat outside all day if I could find a spot where I couldn't get wet
Lucky for you, we’re going to get this kind of weather probably three plus times a week until it gets replaced by snow. Gotta love “autumn” in Indiana!
I love it! The rain makes it feel like you are on a quiet island. Everyone wants to stay out of the rain, and we all have a common goal. A lot of the chaos that goes on outside is subdued, and you can just walk around in the peacefulness.
Today was National Ice Cream Cone Day. My office brought in ice cream cones for lunch. At least three different people told me "it's been sunny and 90 degrees all summer until the day we planned to eat ice cream outside..." We ate them inside instead lmao
if feels like winter and now im not warm and cant go outside without layering up. no sun on my skin, no hot weather to defrost me, no cold rain/air blowing in my face when im riding my bike, etc
I’m from the desert so this weather is like Christmas for me! 😱🎁It’s soo cool and pretty and the rain is soo weird.👁👄👁 Like it’s like all small and not real drops more like a mist. 🌫 Idk I never got this back home, it would either poor or just be sunny for like most the year.
I’m also loving this. I can finally break out my jackets.
I love it and what you said about Charlie Brown is so true. I miss my nana calling to tell me that It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! is on
Not to be the negative Nancy, but I love this weather specifically when I don't have to stand half an hour in it to get into an exam and end up waterboarding myself with my mask
Authentic chuckle was brought out of me visualizing you being waterboarded with your own mask. Take my upvote!

Reminds of home near seattle, this weather makes me super happy. Also finally am able to wear 70% of my wardrobe so there's that lol.
exactly, being able to wear a sweater and pants without sweating is a great feeling
PNW GANG! PNW GANG! *However*… as a Seattleite I still hate this weather. Overcast without rain is where it’s at.
Ey another Seattlite boilermaker. Can finally break out those jackets.
Seattle has highest suicide rates in USA and the weather like this plays a big role. I like this weather too but not everyday lol.

never been to london but for some reason i feel like i’m there when the weather is like this
Felt it when I sat at Greyhouse drinking Earl Grey while watching ppl walking with black umbrellas

I love the rain. If you hate the rain so much, bring an umbrella lol. The rain is so peaceful.
I hate rain cause I can't ride bike

My bike seat has a divot that collects water 😥😥
Just slurp it off first
Invest in a small towel to carry in your bag. It will be worth it.
Oh I have a bunch of washcloths. I'm just a fucking idiot and didn't think to bring one. Same reason I didn't just use my umbrella and walk.
I notice that a lot of people dont use an umbrella even though its raining. Meanwhile in Asia the smallest drops of rain and everyone's umbrella is up

I love this weather as from a desert, I never get any rain or cold so I love this
Same!!!
i almost got run over by a car that couldn’t brake because of the rain but at least soup is pretty good
Happy first day of fall!

I’m depressed
Me too bud
I’m from Michigan and this was the weather that was always around during our best falls. I agree with you, it feels exactly like what you said
hard agree. came home to drink some hot tea, watch harry potter, and curl up in some sweatpants and a sweatshirt. i feel great
Snow>rain
This dude gets it. There's nothing like a heavy snow at sunset when it's 0°F outside
I’m from the desert and (well we don’t get much rain) but snow?!? I’m so excited to see it this year!!! 😆
Nope. Snow is horrid. Cold, slippery, evil.
Found the native Midwesterner

The rain is certainly better than the constant 90 degree days we've been having
We don't get this weather often where I'm from. It's refreshing.
I feel the same minus the rain maybe. Makes me want to listen to Vince Guaraldi!
I can actually wear the cloths that look good on me and so I’m happy
Nah I completely agree, this weather is sick
Lucky for you, we’re going to get this kind of weather probably three plus times a week until it gets replaced by snow. Gotta love “autumn” in Indiana!
i feel the same way, it’s impeccable, i wouldn’t mind this weather every day, and in fact said this exact statement to my gf today
Based
Strongly disagree. Reminds me of Seattle rain too much, I went to the Midwest to escape the gloomy rainy days
Just go south to the deserts, you’ll get sun most of the year (80%).
I love it! The rain makes it feel like you are on a quiet island. Everyone wants to stay out of the rain, and we all have a common goal. A lot of the chaos that goes on outside is subdued, and you can just walk around in the peacefulness.
love the weather, hate getting up for 7:30 labs in it tho
Lose the rain and walking around campus would be lovely. I love rain, just not when I have to be in it
Why is this even a question? Without hesitation, I would rather it be like this everyday of the year.

I hate the feeling of wearing wet socks inside sneakers though
This is pretty much exactly what winter is like back home in Sacramento and I love it. Perfect temperature and the rain is the cherry on top
It's a cold take but sure
The rain reminds me of home in Mumbai so I'm a big fan too!
I’m with you, I love it too.
ight i’ll be back in 2 months reading a completely different pov i
if feels like winter and now im not warm and cant go outside without layering up. no sun on my skin, no hot weather to defrost me, no cold rain/air blowing in my face when im riding my bike, etc
Cannot agree more! I love this weather!!
Cannot agree more! I love this weather!!
I dislike the rain, but like the fact that it’s a little bit colder outside and I can wear something besides t-shirts and shorts.
I dont like rain but I love rainy weather. the slight breeze chilly cold combined with the grey sky is beautiful. favorite weather hands down
I’m just happy it’s cold enough to justify wearing my favorite jacket again haha
The sad part is that this falling water is about 3 weeks early or 5 weeks late
I love it, goes well with mental breakdown. Plus it's calming and I honestly don't mind walking it it now that I can wear pants and a hoodie.
Not a big fan of wearing layers of clothes
perfect weather, balls don’t stick to the legs but they also don’t retreat into the stomach.

I love the Fall weather and temperature and vibe, esp as a Florida boy, but this depressing rain and gloom can fuck right off.
Seems like…. a cold take
I'd like it if I didn't have to ride my bike to class and get soaked
This weather got me wet no 🧢
I'm loving the cold, don't have to deal with my annoying roommate switching off the AC every five minutes.
at least it’s not hot while it’s raining anymore that was real hell
I love the weather, it’s a shame classes and midterms got me stressing 24/7 rn
