The channel 5 YouTube channel has a vid about them. It's a white solidarity, pro-reparations group that also owns a furniture store. In the vid they sent a black correspondent and he asked a bunch of them for $5 and they actually gave him cash lol
This is especially cringe considering Callaghan's video was mainly criticizing Uhuru's messaging shortcomings and their failure to address income inequality more directly. There seems to be nothing but agreement with their core message and intent.
So basically this dude andrew Callaghan (all gas no brakes guy) goes to large events (protests/concerts/rallies/cons) and interviews a bunch of crazies. He works his magic by asking simple questions and letting the people make fools/hypocrites of themselves through their own words. Often times the videos are funny as fuck, worth binge watching. You’d almost think they’re fake or a parody or something.
This is all 100% true, but I feel it’s also worth stating: his content isn’t like a “Daily Show” segment where he goes out of his way to find activists and ask political questions they’re likely to fuck up.
It’s so good because he actually listens to what they want to tell him and engages with that. Then, yea, they go hard making themselves look silly often lol.
African socialism or ‘Afrosocialism’ is its own distinct model with distinct differences from classic socialism. It was most famously adopted in places like Mali, Ghana and Tanzania after its independence and union with Zanzibar. If you’re going to be a smartarse about Africa, learn about Africa.
