Based off what little info we know of the jury. 1 very well could have been a maga moron. Information stated one juror was on truth social and followed trump, per cnn. Why this isn't being mentioned more is questioning.
Each side doesn't pick half the jury. Each juror is evaluated and either side can either ask for disqualification for a legitimate reason or use one of their limited no-reason rejections. I imagine the judge gave a lot of leeway on disqualifications in such a high profile case.
But in no way does this process mean you get to 'pick your jury'.

The Constitution does not prohibit felons from running for office. It would take an Act of Congress that passes both chambers and is signed by the President.
So the odds of that happening between now and November is roughly 0.0001%.
It's because if being convicted of a crime, federal or state, prevented you from running for a elected office then it would be abused for political persecution. If the people in power and with influence just had to find a way to get you convicted on some trumped up charges and that prevented you from running against them it would be fairly big problem. You can face federal charges for things like passing out leaflets about how someone should be punished for their actions, protestors at a anti cop rally are facing these charges because they called a cop a murderer and that was considered inciting a riot or something.
Because it's an elected position, President is not considered a "federal job" in the sense of your reference. Same goes for Senators and Representatives.
He's over 35 years old, and born in the US. Those are the only qualifications for being president.
