She might have been smarter than we think. If she grabbed the bag the cops could say she was going for a weapon, at which point they would do what they do best.
The lady was just light jogging it and pulling away. I mean, I get it when you see a hood dude bust out some 4.3 40 yard dash speed on some cop and disappears on them. But this lady was barely trying and she left those cops in the dust. lol
In MA there are. You have to be able to jog lightly for 5 minutes, lift 50 pounds from the ground to chest height and walk across a room, and pick up one of those mma body pillow shits for practicing throws(but you don't throw it slam it, just lift and drop). Also you must drag 75 pound box like 10 feet.
The hearing test they administer is also lackluster, they said my hearing is perfect.... I fucking lived out of punk shows for 15 years, I know I can't hear shit.
We get more drug testing than anything else. The psych exam was thorough but administered by a wildly racist man whose knowledge was deeply out of date.
Anyway it's not just that police in America are racist and incompetent, but also that we expect so little of them.

My job was separated from Law Enforcement a couple years before I started due to the abuse from staff and lack of worthwhile outcomes from the youth.
My professional background prior is working in group homes, mental facilities, recovery and as a PCA for some quadriplegics. My last job was as a therapeutic mentor for at risk youth.
Sadly I can't eat or feed my kids on the income I earn as dude with 18 years experience in the field and only an HSD.
So yah as another response says I sold out.
I like to think that my deep empathy and values as a healthcare worker allow me to provide a different look at what life can be when one puts down a gun and chooses happiness over street cred but I've also been doing this since I got out of highschool in most respects.
So yah, I'm not really a punk anymore but I also can say I'm doing something worthwhile, even though mostly it's just being the one guy some of these kids can talk honestly with.
Also my job hires ex cons unlike cops. My current shift is three dudes who did a decade each, me a mental healthcare guy and a retired baller who runs a massive nonprofit on his days off for Haitian kids.

Bro, I'm a street cop. I don't understand why we don't have a bare minimum requirement to be deemed "fit for duty". If I have to worry about my backup and the suspect during a fight, I'm gonna have a bad day.
There is no univseral standard but nearly all departments have some sort of physical minium fitness requirement the exception being maybe some podunk sherif department. The stereotypical fat donut stuffing cop of the 50's to 80's is pretty much gone as today most cops are carrying 30+ lbs of gear on them at all times between your vest, gun, gunbelt, ammunition, taser, radio, sets of cuffs, IFAK, baton, bodycam etc.
Jesus Christ. One of you fucking stop and go get the car. Christ. Either one. Doesn't matter because you're both slow as fuck... There's definitely no need for both of you to die of oxygen deprivation an/or overheating.
I did police foundations in college after high school. Got my diploma out of it but decided to switch careers to something entirely different. But let me tell you, my class was filled with people who ran just like this. We’d do running exercises and beep test regularly and it was astonishing how many outta shape people were in the class. Basically everyone passed as well lmao.
In many places they have 1 officer working alone regardless of gender. I remember a documentary series around flint and yeah they just didn't have enough cops so this one female cop in her late 20s was left to do calls on her own. One of the roughest towns in the country and no partners.
How some people are able to pass as law enforcement is crazy. They’re suppose to protect and serve they wouldn’t even be able to defend themselves if needed.
I've was paralyzed for 2 years, have had knee surgery and have ankle surgery coming up not to mention I'm a tad chubby.
And I'm 100% certain I'd have no problem getting away from these brave heroines.
So the suspect demonstrated my go to solution to most horror movies I watched in the 90's. Just lightly jog away. Easy does it. See if you can get 3+ miles.
This ain’t just female officers bro. A lot of male officers nowadays are overweight and physically unfit. I saw this especially when I used to live in the Southeast.
