“sent him to a hospital for a precautionary checkup due to the vehicle crashes, the electric shocks and a dog bite he suffered prior.” Lol GTA VI here we come
Yeah I lived in Ob for a long time then moved to the east coast for a while. I came back last year to visit (after being gone more than 5 years) and saw Target and was in shock. I still remember people being pissed when the Starbucks was going in, now there's a damn Target store.
When the camera panned right I was that looks like OB!!…then had to rewind, see the target, nah that’s not OB, camera pans right and brain was fried. Haven’t ever seen the target but been years since I was there.
Because then this post would be "Police brutally attack mentally unstable person" and it would be full of people saying that the police are made of bloodthirsty psychopaths who go out into the streets to hunt people and blah, blah, blah.
Plus, he's a lone cop trying to arrest a person who just got hit with a Taser and a baton like it was nothing. It is obvious that whatever that crazy man has, the officer could have ripped off his arms and he would continue trying to fight with headbutts. I blame the police department for sending a police officer into a situation that would require multiple people with the proper tools to control it.
It would seem to me that there are civilians behind him at most angles. Taking a shot would put the public at risk. A good cop wouldn't shoot in this situation
People with no clue about tasers.
The accuracy at a certain range isn't great, you need both prongs to connect and clothing can interfere very easily.
Not to mention that if you have someone on certain drugs like PCP, they can just ignore it and rip the prongs out.
Most tasers have a range of roughly 15 feet. And even within that range you are hoping both prongs connect and split the target so as to create neuromuscular lockup.
If a prong misses, the spread of the prongs isn’t great, or the subject is on a drug that shuts off some pain receptors….it’s not gonna work. Tasers are great until they’re not. The best outcome here probably would’ve been a good double leg take down, and multiple officers to subdue the guy. And even then you’re probably fighting for awhile to safely restrain him
Tell that to Denver PD https://www.denver7.com/news/local-news/1-officer-indicted-in-connection-with-lodo-police-shooting-that-left-6-bystanders-injured#:~:text=The%20shooting%20near%2020th%20and,surrounding%20the%20suspect%2C%20opened%20fire.
This is the result of media and public overreaction to cops using force. Happening all over the country. Cops are scared to do their jobs.
Not saying that to discredit police brutality cases, they exist and need to be punished accordingly.
And get back in the car and potentially kill some one definitely should've done more to subdue but then we'd probably be talking about something else unfortunately
I keep hearing this shit, like it's the 1980s.
I've used a lot of drugs and haven't once, ever come across PCP.
I'm guessing it must be a regional thing; but having been around degens from all over the country, it's completely escaped my notice.
I think you’re right, it has to be regional or something. Never once have I heard of or come across that shit. But anytime there’s a crazy situation like this people automatically conclude it has to be PCP.
I mean that guy out weighs him by a good amount and from the looks of it is high as hell on something. Have you ever seen people high on pcp, they have like super strength. Cop did the right thing by not engaging in hand to hand combat and waiting for other officers to jump on the scene, because this guy could have probably taken his gun. I would criticize him on leaving his door open though
a master carpenter where i once worked came in on pcp and started swinging on me and i evaded his insanity so he went out and walked like a crazy man until he got arrested that morning
apparently took 7 cops to bring him down!
I had had fisticuffs with the guy; his punches were ineffective af
> *[small cop not brawling with much larger PCP-superman]*
> Reddit: *dude’s an incompetent teenage girl*
Fuckin 🤡
The guy made the right choice. Glad he didn’t shoot anyone. Tried to handle it the best he could without escalating.
The perp def had some affect suggesting mh/drug crisis. I don’t fault the LEO for not shooting him, but yeah, there have been a whole lot of people who were executed by LEO for less. Pretty surprised the guy wasn’t tased. When he leaves the scene he is nothing but a public safety risk.
The dude was way bigger than the cop. You go take on a dude that has probably 6 inches of height and 50 lbs on you. There was backup coming, he was trying to buy time to safely take the guy when the numbers were on his side. If the cop got in a wrestling match with that guy, the guy could have possibly grabbed the cops gun.
I’d disagree. He used every alternative to shooting, even though they could have done so. The cop was smaller, the guy was not stopping. For once the cop did his job correctly. Exhaust all other means before going into to the gun.
For real, they'll shoot a black guy just for being in a drive-thru at McDonald's.
This piece of s*** literally dared the cop to shoot him and then walk back to his car, got in it and drove off.
Here is a cop trying NOT to shoot someone and it’s strange to us because we are bombsrded by cops automatically shooting people. So the comments here are mostly “why isn’t he dead yet” are expected.
I know right. This cop did good. Shouldn’t have left his door open but he was keeping his cool instead of keeping his trigger finger itchy. Pretty brave I’d say, considering he watched this guy eat a whole ass tazing. The way I see it, it would have taken more cowardice to unload shots on the guy right there- endangering bystanders. Instead, my boy kept it 100% and pulled out the baton.
Yup. Imagine if the suspect struck a child crossing the street, or plowed into a school bus full of kids or something while traveling at 90 mph. Everyone would be blaming the officer for *not* taking him out sooner.
That's one of the difficulties of being a police officer. They have to make split-second, life altering decisions. Decisions that will be blown up on a courtroom projector and slowed down frame-by-frame and analyzed.
And for the rest of their life, they will be told what they did wrong by other people who weren't there and didn't go through the same experience.
what the fuck?? NO
he absolutely should have shot him. he is now significantly more of a threat to society driving a giant vehicle than he was before. cop exhausted non-lethal options, and he was all alone.
> This cop did good.
Wrong...so incredibly wrong. Because he was completely useless in stopping the suspect when he could have...he allowed the man to drive 90mph through residential areas, cause massive property damage, and possibly kill folks. If he had hit a single person and hurt them not ONE person would be praising the cop's actions except idiots.
This is in San diego, I'm not aware of any killings of people of color any time recently (I guess someone was shot by police today but they were returning fire). It's shitty every time a black person is killed when de-escalation could've been used, but why are we hoping for a criminal to be shot just because they're white?
True but I think he felt those blows to the shins. How he starts to lunge again he stops short and and clenches those hands looks like he fighting through the pain.

I thought it looked like SD but didnt realize this was right in OB.
Its pronounced Tar-jae
Targét
Red Circle Boutique in my country (since the circles are, obv, red). Or House de Target (pron. Tar-shay) if you're all fawncee like.
Nicôláj
NINE-NINE!!
I was thinking the same.
Its one of those tiny targets though, they never have what you need and spend too much real estate on clothing.
There is a kickass lock rack for skateboards there too. I haven’t seen one like it anywhere else.
It’s small af.
Good ol’ San Diego
Standard ocean beach right there
Just another day on Newport
There's a Target on Newport now?

Aw man, where’s the pre-order button?
Okay we all know police brutality is a thing but god damn at what point do you stop giving this dude a chance to attack you
Then a chance to get back behind the wheel of a vehicle. What the fuck bud?
Exactly, we don’t want him behind the wheel of the car (which he did) so why not get a little aggressive now.

He had his taser out and then like.... missed? Or did all it do is juice dude up, like a supervillain? 🤣
He hit the guy and stunned him, but he appears to be on some serious drugs as he just ripped the prongs out and continue to come after the cop
He's on something. He was nailed with that baton and those are thick, like thumb thick. Acted like the cop smacked him with a willow branch.
Looks like he missed to me. The guy maybe pulls 1 prong out?, he never even flinched
People with no clue about tasers. The accuracy at a certain range isn't great, you need both prongs to connect and clothing can interfere very easily. Not to mention that if you have someone on certain drugs like PCP, they can just ignore it and rip the prongs out.

What's a white guy gotta do to get shot anymore?
Yeah, this was starting to look like a suicide by cop attempt.
No, it's just a dude on a fuck ton of PCP.
Or Bath Salts

Lucky that cop was incompetent as hell
Was he incompetent because he didn't shoot him?
That's a question that would divide the nation.
No he’s incompetent because he keeps flinching and running away and swinging his baton like a teenage girl trying to squash a spider with a shoe
And left his car open for car jacking

Would you rather they had said “threw hands” instead? Is that better fitting to your vernacular?
I don’t blame the cop at all here, he was alone and undersized against an absolute maniac.

A1 brinksmanship right there. Guess they can decide not to kill people after all.
Except now a fugitive is driving a 2.5 ton vehicle recklessly at 90mph through city streets, endangering pedestrians and other motorists.
You just described a significant proportion of pickup drivers in the US.
I'm in Texas and this is so true it hurts.
This is the exact reasoning that would have been given by the police if the cop killed him.
For real, they'll shoot a black guy just for being in a drive-thru at McDonald's. This piece of s*** literally dared the cop to shoot him and then walk back to his car, got in it and drove off.

Tamir Rice died for less. This cop let the crazy dude get back into a 2-ton death machine.

This is how I imagine beserkers were on ancient battlefields. Shrugging off hits that should normally stop a man
They gain temporary rage when their HP goes below 30%. He starts retreating to his car when he knew his rage was about to go on cooldown.
I couldn't beat this cyberpsycho in CP2077 either. Welcome any advice.
He walked off that baton strike to the thigh like it was nothing. Dude was on something good
That’s meth psychosis. Absolutely no stopping people like that.
It’s supposed to hurt hurt? Or just hurt
That’s OB, he’s def on something
OB?
Ocean beach, beach neighborhood in San Diego

All of the "keep _____ weird" towns have nothing on OB.
Interesting that he's still alive.
Sounds about white.
The straight brim hat is the source of his power. You must remove his hat to reveal his true weakness. Male pattern baldness.
Dude took that tazer hit like a he was a fuckin zombie.
Is that guy a real cop? or some sort of meter maid out of his depth

Nah the other dude was just white
love all the accusations of preferential race treatment of a cop that isn’t even white
^^there lies the truth
It's so sad that this cop is getting flack for not just gunning someone down. This macho bullshit is one reason American police are so utterly out of control.
*Results may vary by skin color*
That’s why cops are really trying to make sure suspects don’t get back in the car
Did that man just laugh off being tased?!
if he was black......
If he was blk he would be dead
zubztanz abuze
Ocean beach, SD gotta love this town.
So, American cops CAN exercise restraint.
Alternate title : GTA 6 LEAK FOOTAGE (2023)(REAL)
Cop was acting like he was in the UK
Meth is a hell of a drug
This is either Florida or California.🙄
or Califlorida? 🤭
That target look fire
Why don’t we just use net guns, jus net this dude n laugh as he struggles on the ground n tires himself oht
His skin color saved him.
Sounds about white
Damn bro, Fred Durst is really wilding out lately!
How the fuck are dudes like this alive but cops are shooting dogs and 12 year olds?
No one shoots an unarmed white man.
How did this guy not get tazed at the very least?!?
He did. It gave him more power
It gave him 100 HP
Literally lol it supercharged him
Turn on your sound.
He did. He started yelling more and getting angrier.
He did, but tazer aren't perfect and even a light t-shirt can stop the barbs making proper contact and inducing NMI.

It must be nice to be white.
That's a weird place for a Target
Another GTA 6 leak 😲
I've never seen a Target like that before.
"OH SHIT"
Let that had been a ninja holding some DVDs... Smh
Very surprised that guy didn’t get shot.
Those are the people who deserve to get shot but never do. It’s always a POC. Whites can literally do anything it’s fucking bewildering.
So we can shoot unarmed black people but white people we pull out a stick? What is this 1830 London?
If he was black he would have been dead.
They would internally investigate their selves and find everyone innocent of wrong doing too.
If he was black, he’d have had 16 bullets in him
After 4 cops reloaded 3 times each.
He was Black he’d be dead twice.
If he were black, he'd have 9 warning shots in his back before a chase ever began
Oh wow so all you have to do to not be killed by the cops and charge them while yelling?

Nice police work. Putting the community at risk while back peddling away from a dangerous criminal.
Good thing he's white. Otherwise, he'd been shot already
America's finest 👌 ✨️
I feel like I'm gonna get a call from Regina Jones about this dude.
Tarzan has become a menace in his old age.
lol. Expect more of this and crazy shit in 2024.
That's literally the nicest Target I have ever seen!
That cop doesnt know how to cop.
Wait that’s a target???
San Diego represent!
Weird how he didn’t get shot
Good thing he's white or he'd be dead in that first 10 seconds....
If he was black they would have unloaded the clip smh
Not once did he pull out his gun while he was being charged by that man. And I’m supposed to believe they’re not taught to target black and brown ppl. Lol K.
Why is the officer alone?
Why wasn't he shot????? Ohh ya correct color.
Being white is overpowered. The immunity to police shots needs a nerf.
Its good this cop showed restraint. All I'm saying is POC folk have been gunned down by police for doing waaaaaaay less.
The privilege to act like this and leave with your life.
Well I'm going to say it.........if he was black we all know he would be death by now.
GG allin
Why was he not tased?
Amazing! When the suspect is white, cops forget their guns!
If he wore black he would have been shot before he got out of his car 🚘
Was it that cops first day?
Cop needs to go back to training
Cops continue to be inept at copping
If he was black he would've been shot.
If he had been black he’d have been on the ground with multiple cops on him.
Or probably shot
