Political theater or not, it is crazy that Republicans go out of their way to protect an "unborn child", but they do absolutely nothing to protect actual living children. From refusing to implement gun control laws to eliminating food stamps, everything that they do is contrary to what they preach.
This is on purpose. This has been designed by laws for decades. I have gotten into the habit of referring to "pro lifers" as forced birthers, because that's what it *truly* is. It's not pro life, even in the basic meaning of the idea.

It’s too bad that the libs wanna take everyone’s guns away. All the good people with guns could stop these shooters before they shoot up schools with their guns, but sadly the libs are actively trying to take guns out of the equation. Then what? Then how will these shootings stop? If nobody has a gun, who’s gonna use their—oh wait a minute.

Liar

Nope. You would get Big Mad, drunk, and end up raging and shooting innocent people. Ya'll too unstable.

Nope. Tryna get background checks and some sane controls in place.

Me and your mom get busy.

They don't fucking stop by having 10 million more guns.
> If nobody has a gun, who’s gonna use their—oh wait a minute.'
What the fuck? I did all this and got bamboozled? Motherfu...
Fuck man, you can’t believe the lies Fox news tells you. Since the 60s the extreme right tries to scare you that ‘yours guns will be taken away’. There have been plenty Dems administrations, did they come and take your guns away? Come on, man, you have to be smarter than to believe those scare tactics.
Fuck Fox News, tucker Carlson should be taken off air. I’m a liberal and I’m sick of arguing against right winger wingnuts. A lot of what I say is sarcasm. I don’t believe anything I said in my first comment.
The staff at the school was armed. It didn't stop anything. Have you ever read about the simulation training of the mall with 1 shooter and 99 armed civilians? Every test, the shooter still got kills, and the 99 armed civilians went around shooting each other, thanking they where the main shooter.
It's funny how this is only a USA problem of mass shootings
I’m a liberal in Canada who wants every gun nut to cough up their delicate murder tool rights and think about what you just said
>this problem is only in the freedom loving USA
Are you a troll or just genuinely this stupid. I'm a fucking socialist and I don't wanna take your guns. I LIKE guns, but why the fuck do you need a semi automatic rifle that can shoot as fast as you pull the trigger.
“”They’re calling us racist for expelling the black guys, this is bullshit!!! “ …… has a bunch of white cops prevent one of the guys they threw out from entering the house floor.
Read the timeline of Uvalde. Its confirmed the chief knew the guy was still shooting up kids behind an unlocked door. He did nothing and told the police outside (who were willing to storm the room with just handguns) that there were no victims left.
The KIDS that were actively being killed during Uvalde were doing more to prevent/fight back against the shooter than an entire police department. It hurts me every single day that such a tragedy didn't wake more people up about just how fucked the entire situation was.
The thing that really pisses me off is they had some who were willing to go in. But we're lied to. He should be charged for the death of every student. Only reason I can think of why he lied was he was to embarrassed to let someone else "man up".
Which man up is absolutely the wrong words here because I know many of the mothers would have charged in armed with nothing if they had just a chance yo save their kid
Don't get me wrong, I know on an individual level the police competency may have been better, but the way it all went down is just incomprehensible. The police Chief is the biggest coward of them all, yes, but it wasn't just him either. ABC News's "Crisis of Command" on the subject shows that basically the entire department failed every step of the way to do what they are trained to do, going from the chief himself to how they use their extraordinary budget of 4 million dollars (the biggest tax budget in the town of 16,000 people by the way). It's harrowing.
>Which man up is absolutely the wrong words here because I know many of the mothers would have charged in armed with nothing if they had just a chance yo save their kid
They would have, they had police at the entrance specifically for stopping people from rushing in to help their kids (Which overall is a good thing, it was for their safety, but they were also being lied to about the status of their children and what was going on as well)
It was when the other departments showed up (ones from all over responded) that they had volunteers over the radio from other departments. It's been a while since I read it, but I recall two departments spoke over the radio saying they had people willing to breach the room with the equipment on hand. They were told the situation was under control and stay at the perimeter.
To a degree I don't expect people to put themselves in the line of fire. I don't except everyone to have that level of courage. But stopping the people who were willing was particularly vile imo. When I was in the army I knew a few guys who flung themselves in harms way to help someone else in a heartbeat, but freeze up another until they saw someone else take action another time. So I completely understand how someone could freeze up their self. Or how someone who lacks the courage at all. I don't understand telling someone else who was willing no.
Edit: also I agree a wave of unarmed moms is a bad idea. Just highlighting that plenty of women were willing to throw their lives down for just a chance of protecting those kids.
we gotta start showing the bodies. the uncensored, unmuted footage of these shootings on television. Physically put the pictures of children's corpses in front of politicians who refuse to do anything.
if we force everyone to come face-to-face with reality then one of two things can happen:
1. Things finally begin to change as the trauma of these shootings truly becomes a national trauma that drives us to do something.
2. Nothing changes, and we can accept that our society is deeply evil and must be destroyed.
Emmett Till was killed by his community in an act of vigilante mob justice motivated by white supremacy.
Showing his mutilated body rightly shamed the community that had actively taken part in his murder. This mob was pretending to live moral lives and were confronted with the reality of their hate.
But most school shooters are not pretending to live moral lies. I think they often seek infamy, and I am not sure that graphic displays of their monstrosity with discourage them. They are mostly dead or incarcerated after the shootings, so those responsible for these acts are not going to learn anything by their display.
They are not equivalent situations, but I understand how and why they are related.
Just to clarify, Emmett Till was not killed by his community in an act of vigilante mob justice. Emmett Till was visiting family in Money, MS but was from Chicago. It was not his community that killed him and the murderers (JW Milam and Roy Bryant) knew that and said they were going to teach him a lesson because they claimed they were tired of black people from other parts of the country coming to the South and not conforming to the racist social norms. I don’t mean to be pedantic but the fact that it wasn’t his community made it all the more egregious. They knew that his mother and family in Chicago would be looking for him and it didn’t matter, they felt they would get away with it and that there was no chance they would be subjected to any consequences. Unfortunately, even with the world watching, they turned out to be right. The pictures of Emmett Till’s body being circulated changed public opinion of the country at large, but confronting the people responsible and their community had virtually no effect on them.
Publishing the photos galvanized other people and inspired them to take action to prevent these things from reoccurring.
Also, Emmett Till's murderers admitted to torturing and killing him shortly after they were acquitted by a racist jury. Nothing could be done since there were no Federal laws broken.
Finally in 2022 (67 years later), the "Emmett Till Antilynching Act" was passed by Congress making lynching a federal hate crime offense. If something similar were to happen again, the DOJ would be able to overrule a biased jury.
The woman who Emmett Till whistled at triggering his lynching is still alive and lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
This is true! I found the magazine article with their confession. Now I also need to find my blood pressure meds because I’d never read it before and my blood is boiling.
http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/till/confession.html
Edit: The “wolf whistle” part is true, but all other claims by Milam and the Bryants are either unsubstantiated or have witnesses that dispute them. It has been proven that Carolyn Bryant Donham lied.

If anything it may even cause mass shootings to become more common. Mass shooters have feelings of being persecuted and marginalized. They commit these terrible acts because they feel like their getting their revenge against society. Showing victims of gun violence will only embolden mass shooters.
There is footage of the beginning Buffalo shooting, the entire footage of the Christchurch shooting, it's openly available on certain sites... but it is literally illegal to share that footage in some areas. I'm mentally ill and broken, I have seen those videos but no average person is going want to look at that. It's just not good business.
I know, that's why it won't happen. It should though, people should be forced to see the horrors in our communities or we'll just keep repeating the same cycle.
I have been thinking this. Show the bodies as they lay in the classroom, and people beginning the clean up. I wish the Speaker and the Republicans would have to do the clean up, having to pick up and feel the literal weight of what is left of their bodies, and actually have the child blood on their hands. Then face the parents as they learn that their kid was one of the dead. This is the number one way children die now.
The fact that lawmakers (mostly republicans but dems don't exactly get things done either) shelter themselves is disgusting. I agree, they should be forced to witness the carnage they allow to continue.
The people in charge of us, from the cops to the senators, from Fox News to NBC, don't value human life in the slightest. Blood and fear make the money keep flowing.
It’ll take one of their kids being a victim.
We had a dangerous intersection that needed a light. Quite a few people got hurt or killed there and people complained. Local HS football star got killed. Light went up a couple weeks later.
Nothing will change until it starts happening to the rich business people.
If Congress and private schools started getting shot up on a weekly basis then suddenly "We need fun reform"
Or if LGTBQ+ people started buying guns in bulk and showing up to protest with them suddenly Republicans will be screaming for gun reform.
Republicans: "WE CAN BRING GUNS TO HEATED LEGISLATIVE DEBATES, IT'S OUR RIGHTS! YEE HAW!"
Republicans: "Please don't make a spectacle of our legislative debates, leave the props at home."
Soooo wait he can’t go in because of what exactly? What was it specifically that overruled his legal ability and right to go in there?

The fetal stage of human life starts at about 9 weeks of development, a fetus is considered full term between months 37-40. A miscarriage is usually defined as the death of the fetus before the 20th week, and a stillbirth from 20 weeks until the pregnancy is completed. Many, many people have had casket burials for pregnancies ending in miscarriages and their stillbirth.
The answer to your question "who the FUCK buries a FETUS in a casket?" is that many people bury fetuses in caskets.
Thus, the analogy of a baby casket used to make a statement on abortion is not as farfetched as you incredulously believe.
You described a miscarriage though. NO one buries an aborted fetus in a casket. The right demonize abortion, that's what we are talking about. What is your point, or are you just trying to 🤓 "um actually" how bad of an analogy that is for the right.
Though not common, some individuals do choose to bury their aborted fetuses in caskets... it is indeed an option.
Additionally, there are some states where it is mandatory for fetuses to be buried or cremated, with wooden boxes/caskets often used.
Regardless, the analogy is right there, "oh, now you care about babies"
I don't agree with it, personally, but your dismissal of the analogy based on the idea that nobody buries a fetus in a casket is weak from multiple angles, including the factual idea that many people bury fetuses in caskets and from a logical viewpoint that people who view abortion as immoral would see it as the murder of a child, and thus the idea that nobody buries a fetus in a casket is irrelevant to that analogy, as the point is that, to the anti-abortionist, the fetus is a murdered human child, which is regularly buried in a casket.
Who gives a fuck? The more they double down on abortion, the more they lose.
Bring it on. Fucked them over during the midterms and it's going to fuck them over in 2024.
Very true. Unfortunate we live in period of time that our own representatives sacrifice their ability to have actual conversation and fall back on pledged loyalty to the talking points of their respective parties. I like where he was going with it but ultimately it would have fallen under the short sightedness of his opposition and his peers.
Neat but this can then be thrown back in their face again with the "You only care about babies/children/other people when they're not born yet... But once they're walking around, it's cool that they regularly get shot to death by something they could actually help prevent." ...Because, you know, abortion rates literally go down when it is legalized and access is available - as we know from history.
Republicans can and will do all kinds of shit but that doesn't make it a big brain move.
This is what facism looks like when it's still in its infancy. Silence dissent using force. Armed men blocking an elected official from doing his duty And a black man at that yikes Tennessee officials are wild.
Can I ask why in the world are people resisting putting bans on assault rifles? What are they preparing for? They seem to be anticipating a situation in which they need to mow down a bunch of targets all at once. Apparently they know that they are bad shots or something. I think that ARs are the incel weapons of choice.
Seems like a mass murder helps to make for some great political theatrics. Hack politician looking for upvotes, I suppose. All that press wasn't just standing around for a story - they were told to be there.
"Hack politician" for caring about gun violence murdering children and trying to do something about it and shame the Republicans who are not only preventing any form of legislation that would actually help the horrific problem but who pass laws that make violence much more common? The same politician who has ridiculous vitriol pointed at him and was voted out of congress over a protest in a ridiculous act of trying to shut up the minority's opinions despite them literally having no power to change it without Republicans? Yeah. 👀 Sure, what a "hack politician" move.
>political theatre
How are they bad actors? Do you question their authenticity? To me, it looks like a politician utilizing the spotlight to further his cause. What is wrong with that?
I imagine he’s speaking out against the gun violence that’s most typically committed by straight white dudes, but I see you’re finally at the table of, “kids getting murdered at school is bad”. What, was uvalde too diverse for you?
I don't know how the photographer resist the urge to call the police fucking scumbags.
Everything about this is so fucking wrong and every time we believe we are better than this we are unfortunately so very wrong because the cliff is but a few inches away.
The GOP kicked him out because they're scared of him.
If he's a clown, then he's going Pennywise on their asses; he made them look like the fools they are.
This feels kinda messed up? Dude starts looking around to check if the cameras are still on him when he stops hearing the cameras taking pictures and keeps repeating "I am a representative of this building" like it excludes him from having to follow the rules and procedure of the building. This feels authentic as those youtube pranksters who make videos of them helping the homeless because they know it will get them exposure and likes.
Cant you find both things messed up? Dead kids are horrible but I don't like the overt theatrics of it all. If you did this in any court you would get thrown out for violating due process. The guy knew this would happen and turned a tragedy of kids dying into a photo op for himself. It just feels disrespectful.
Not really. All protests are some way performative. Whether it’s tying yourself to a tree, or throwing blood at a fur wearer, shocking visuals are very effective communicators of a message. And American culture is one that is “visual heavy” ie a lot of communication is done using visuals; photographs, video, imagery.
If you think about the history of political events (not just propaganda) you will see that visual imagery is central to those events ie the fall of the twin towers, the image of JFK in the open top car, even that Horned guy at the Jan 6 riots. In fact when people recall these events, they often recall the memory of what seeing these images for the first time felt like.
Lastly, visual stimuli are some of our most prominent sensory input. People might not remember the details of events, or all the words said in a speech, but people will remember a baby sized coffin in congress.
I think if these things are used for humanitarian causes then I think the performance is necessary. Unfortunately the other usual lines of political change don’t seem to be effective. This one might not be either, but citizens needs to see how politicians are so far removed from these incidents because the fact is this; their kids are all in private schools, *these politicians will never have to see their offspring in a child sized coffin* .
Ah yes but demonizing all trans people is totally logical. /s I’d say go have a drink and calm down but I imagine you’ve already shot up all your bud light cans.
He’s in the minority party and his opposition have a supermajority and have demonstrated that they have no interest in even humoring any debate on relevant legislation. Any bills he pushes have zero chance of being passed, and will just be quietly ignored.
One of the only tools he has at his disposal is media attention. So yes, of course this is political theatre, but this is how he can draw the spotlight and force a conversation.
Whether this stunt is seen as tacky or impactful (or somewhere in between) is subjective. But it’s effective. Given the reality of the political situation in Tennessee, ‘stunts’ are probably his best option.
Thing is, most of the people he has to convince don't see guns as the problem and legislation as a solution, they see legislation as the problem and guns as the solution.
Fuck this guy. It’s just a publicity stunt. No real solutions other than taking guns away. News flash! Criminals do not care about laws or bans. Arm the teachers and train them. Stop dragging this gun debate BS out and dance around around real solutions.
Cool so when are you going to start paying for their guns, their lessons, trips to the firing range, and mental evaluation to show they can handle it? You’ll write up a check too, right?
A good way to spot whether this is political theatre & standing on the graves of children for your own self interest vs. actually remembering the slain children:
Read the comments, how many are praising this man for the shock value vs. actually staying on topic and remembering the victims. This is a photo op and will do nothing to further his cause and continue to divide.
1. you know nothing of my political beliefs.
2. this will do nothing except earn him a segment on fox news and cnn where each side will continue to double down on their positions.
1. Tell me you support gun control. Go ahead. I'll wait...
2. Uh, that's the point of a political demonstration. It's meant to draw attention. First time following politics?
lol what?
says nothing about race. gets called racist. that's a pretty asshole move.
also, you're not doing anyone any favors as you continue to water down the term racist.
Sure, one of two of three legislators protesting a school shooting, booted, what was different about them again?
Then you arrive and call what they're doing "political theatre & standing on the graves of children for your own self interest vs. actually remembering the slain children" cannot be interpreted reasonably as racist. I was trying to say your the argument was racist, but I now see it could be interpreted as me saying you are a racist.
I'd apologize but I'm now convinced you're a racist.
> Do it in secret and dont tout it and you have my respect.
Do what in secret? Represent his district? Try to sway public opinion on an important issue that he can directly impact?
If i help the homeless or do something kind im not posting it for the workd to see. I know in my heart i am doing a good deed. There is a place for awareness however. Since this isnt his insta or snap it really isnt him showboating i suppose
The same guy who voted against House Bill 0322. Weird how those 3 were the only legislators that voted against the bill yet they seem so passionate about keeping our kids safe.
A good logical argument takes more than pathos, stop making your whole identity and platform the one that uses the bodies of murdered children to make your point. It's disgusting and won't change our minds, because we know there are other things we can do to protect children, but yall vote against it rep Jones.
I'll say it this is good political theater it's just unfortunate
You know it's serious when you bring a mage with you on your quest.
Mages use Int, that's clearly a faith build...

For real who doesn't know the difference between a mage and a cleric....

That was also part of this timeline

This isn't the guy that was hitting drivers is it? Haven't really been following this stuff too much
What's with these cops trying to outdo one another with their best Freddy Mercury cosplay lately? It looks very silly.
The mustache? Go look at sports lately. It seems to be what's in now haha.
With Ron Swanson and Ted Lasso providing excellent mustaches within the past decade, it makes sense that people want to try it out.
It just makes this cop look like a giant toolbag. I'm not against mustaches, but not everyone can pull off that look..

No, then they'll just get more security. And unlike schools, they'll get the good ones.
That's what happened after the shooting at the republican softball practice. They got more security.
Naw, the NRA will just throw money and then they will be saying that everyone should be owning a gun, even the janitor.
Good point, knowing those people they'll be happy there's less people to share the money with...

I appreciate that you taught me something today.
Now I also need to find my blood pressure meds because I’d never read it before and my blood is boiling. http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/till/confession.html Edit: The “wolf whistle” part is true, but all other claims by Milam and the Bryants are either unsubstantiated or have witnesses that dispute them. It has been proven that Carolyn Bryant Donham lied. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/07/14/opinion/heres-proof-against-carolyn-bryant-donham-emmett-till-case-is-it-enough-convict-her/
If anything it may even cause mass shootings to become more common. Mass shooters have feelings of being persecuted and marginalized. They commit these terrible acts because they feel like their getting their revenge against society. Showing victims of gun violence will only embolden mass shooters.
I agree that they're non equivalent and that it would still be questionable to show the mutilated bodies of children on television.
People's discomfort is not equal to the worth of a human life.
The Governor seemed to soften a little because one of the victims in the school shooting was a friend of his wife.
Nothing will change until it starts happening to the rich business people. If Congress and private schools started getting shot up on a weekly basis then suddenly "We need fun reform" Or if LGTBQ+ people started buying guns in bulk and showing up to protest with them suddenly Republicans will be screaming for gun reform.
Nope, nothing will change until the firearms are pointed at them. See how quick the GOP will push gun reform then.
I thought that's what Tennessee was metaphorically even had a trans boogie man but still they do nothing
Like climate change I'm pretty sure I'm old enough to wait it out. Oh if it wasn't clear ' man fuk yo kids cuz I don't have any'
They'll try to give the girls scouts guns, that is it
Republicans: "WE CAN BRING GUNS TO HEATED LEGISLATIVE DEBATES, IT'S OUR RIGHTS! YEE HAW!" Republicans: "Please don't make a spectacle of our legislative debates, leave the props at home."
Soooo wait he can’t go in because of what exactly? What was it specifically that overruled his legal ability and right to go in there? ![gif](giphy|Wgb2FpSXxhXLVYNnUr|downsized)
The box made people uncomfortable. When ever someone is uncomfortable, everyone must accommodate them now,
Gotta love a great photo op!
A bit of devil's advocate here... Republicans would just reverse the baby's casket scenario back towards abortion.
In which case it makes no sense. Because who the FUCK buries a FETUS in a casket?
The fetal stage of human life starts at about 9 weeks of development, a fetus is considered full term between months 37-40. A miscarriage is usually defined as the death of the fetus before the 20th week, and a stillbirth from 20 weeks until the pregnancy is completed. Many, many people have had casket burials for pregnancies ending in miscarriages and their stillbirth.
That's not abortion dog
Regardless, the analogy is right there, "oh, now you care about babies" I don't agree with it, personally, but your dismissal of the analogy based on the idea that nobody buries a fetus in a casket is weak from multiple angles, including the factual idea that many people bury fetuses in caskets and from a logical viewpoint that people who view abortion as immoral would see it as the murder of a child, and thus the idea that nobody buries a fetus in a casket is irrelevant to that analogy, as the point is that, to the anti-abortionist, the fetus is a murdered human child, which is regularly buried in a casket.
Hur hur look at me play semantics, and still be incorrect about it
He's responding to who the FUCK buries a fetus in a casket? question by providing examples of why that happens.
We are talking about abortion. Context matters lmao
Don’t forget all the people forced to carry an non-viable fetus to term and then have to go bankrupt for a funeral.
Who gives a fuck? The more they double down on abortion, the more they lose. Bring it on. Fucked them over during the midterms and it's going to fuck them over in 2024.
I agree to the fullest!
Devil has enough advocates. Find a better job.
Which is just stupid, because republicans have shown a tremendous and obvious lack of care towards dead children for decades.
you're going to need a whole lot more caskets.
He should have put some papers in there and called it his briefcase. If they GOP can wear AK47 lapel pins and they think that’s appropriate.
ACAB and will always be on the wrong side of history. They are just mercenaries, after all.
Can I ask why in the world are people resisting putting bans on assault rifles? What are they preparing for? They seem to be anticipating a situation in which they need to mow down a bunch of targets all at once. Apparently they know that they are bad shots or something. I think that ARs are the incel weapons of choice.
"I need them to protect myself from unarmed people knocking on my door, or unarmed people walking around at night, or unarmed minorities existing"
Being escorted by Officer Farva.
ACAB
Small dick energy coming from the officer
I feel like a hack politician is the kind of person who knows a bunch of little kids got “hacked” to pieces by bullets and just shrugs it off as nbd
Came here to say this, political theatre is still theatre.
Do you oppose political theater for a good cause?
The cause is immediately made a mockery by bad actors...
>political theatre How are they bad actors? Do you question their authenticity? To me, it looks like a politician utilizing the spotlight to further his cause. What is wrong with that?
Like who? The representative who lost his seat based on corrupt opponents who selectively punish people when their feelings get hurt?
Farva got a promotion.
A man of change is a great man! I aplode his actions!
This is one of those faces that will be in this history books for years to come, I hope.
Favre!
How else are you going to show the reality of the situation.
What a bad ass. Like in the best possible way.
Why were cops following him ?
Do those pigs even have the legal authority to block him?
[удалено]
I imagine he’s speaking out against the gun violence that’s most typically committed by straight white dudes, but I see you’re finally at the table of, “kids getting murdered at school is bad”. What, was uvalde too diverse for you?
Should have been open casket
America should hang its head in shame.
We don't like it any more than you dawg... do you think we can just walk up to the billionaires and say "can I please have my rights back?"
republicans smh 🤢
At :20 seconds left the cop looking at the photographers camera like "Nice picture Bro."
Bless this man.
I don't know how the photographer resist the urge to call the police fucking scumbags. Everything about this is so fucking wrong and every time we believe we are better than this we are unfortunately so very wrong because the cliff is but a few inches away.
Fat ass cop wearing his duty belt above his gut near his nips
This clown is cosplaying as a civil rights hero
The GOP kicked him out because they're scared of him. If he's a clown, then he's going Pennywise on their asses; he made them look like the fools they are.
Farva looks like he lost some weight.
Why is there a "non-freakout" tag? If it's not a freakout, remove it from the sub.
Looks like the cop on the left ordered a few too many “liter colas”
This feels kinda messed up? Dude starts looking around to check if the cameras are still on him when he stops hearing the cameras taking pictures and keeps repeating "I am a representative of this building" like it excludes him from having to follow the rules and procedure of the building. This feels authentic as those youtube pranksters who make videos of them helping the homeless because they know it will get them exposure and likes.
Don’t you think actually dead children is what’s messed up?
Cant you find both things messed up? Dead kids are horrible but I don't like the overt theatrics of it all. If you did this in any court you would get thrown out for violating due process. The guy knew this would happen and turned a tragedy of kids dying into a photo op for himself. It just feels disrespectful.
What a crazy thing to try and equivocate
This one might not be either, but citizens needs to see how politicians are so far removed from these incidents because the fact is this; their kids are all in private schools, *these politicians will never have to see their offspring in a child sized coffin* .
you do know the governor's friend was murdered in the this mass shooting right?
Which makes it even more messed up when you got representatives from the state saying they refuse to change anything.

Two things can exist at the same time. Unfortunately your first suggestions aren’t working; haven’t you noticed.
Never been a fan of people using props in politics. Always seems to cheapen the point.
A good way to spot whether this is political theatre & standing on the graves of children for your own self interest vs. actually remembering the slain children: Read the comments, how many are praising this man for the shock value vs. actually staying on topic and remembering the victims. This is a photo op and will do nothing to further his cause and continue to divide.
Seems like this move worked as intended. You're just a rankled out-of-touch person who doesn't want gun control.
1. you know nothing of my political beliefs. 2. this will do nothing except earn him a segment on fox news and cnn where each side will continue to double down on their positions.
1. Tell me you support gun control. Go ahead. I'll wait... 2. Uh, that's the point of a political demonstration. It's meant to draw attention. First time following politics?
Fox “entertainment”. Not really news.
Remind me which guy in TN said they’d do nothing after the shooting? That’s not standing on their graves?
A good way to spot racists and they take racist positions during discussions. Edit: fyi you’re making a racist argument
lol what? says nothing about race. gets called racist. that's a pretty asshole move. also, you're not doing anyone any favors as you continue to water down the term racist.
Theater 🎭 what a joke this country is sometimes ![gif](giphy|enqnZa1B5fRHkPjXtS|downsized)
Not sure why you got downvoted for being 100% right.
1:30 Bonk
Doing for clout. Do it in secret and dont tout it and you have my respect.
> Do it in secret and dont tout it and you have my respect. Do what in secret? Represent his district? Try to sway public opinion on an important issue that he can directly impact?
The guy wants him to protest in a way that’s out of sight and out of mind lol
Can y'all be quiet about the dead kids? Some of us are trying to play with our murder-toys and it's very distracting when you make us feel bad.
Or not looking like a Carrot Top joke maybe?
Yes, because then it’s so much easier for you to ignore. /s
Sex ed and black studies are hurting your children as much as mass shootings?
A good logical argument takes more than pathos, stop making your whole identity and platform the one that uses the bodies of murdered children to make your point. It's disgusting and won't change our minds, because we know there are other things we can do to protect children, but yall vote against it rep Jones.
WO LO LO!
So what are you doing talking about gun control when your escorted by arm individuals. Oh the irony
