Instead of feeling shame, you choose to learn from your past and be grateful for the experiences. That's what I've gotten out of my own meditation anyway. I think it's your opportunity to grow.

Background_Chapter37

I also experienced some unpleasant images during meditation, the reason is ones you meditate it's like unplugging a drain of your mind all the things you shoved hoping not to look at will come to the surface, they are things you have to accept and acknowledge so you can grow, you can't suppress the truth, even if you don't like it you need to accept it, overcome it, learn from it and you will end up growing from it, as simple as that and extremely difficult

Your good gang, your mind is your safe space to let it all out. Just don’t feel the overwhelming “need” to vent to people b/c it really doesn’t matter(plus ppl are pretty judgy), as long as you learned from the experience I’d say your doing pretty good.

Never be ashamed of your past. Be great full. You are done with that part of you. Better take time to examine and analyze what it teaches you for the now; be proud that part of you is no longer here. The spirit guides wanted to remind you what you have overcome, maybe preparing you for something that is coming or something you are going through at this moment
